Anyone who has spent some time on my blog is probably aware of my obsession with sheet masks. It has always been my favorite skincare step, and the step that previously helped me achieve my glass skin. Unfortunately, I haven’t been able to use them since my pregnancy and I even gave away my huge stash because I couldn’t bear to see them just sit in my vanity and expire.

However, very recently I’ve worked out a system that really works for me. Since I’m visiting my parents I have my mom put the baby for an afternoon nap while I take my shower and put on the sheet mask. And then she puts him down on the bed next to me while I wait for my skin to soak in all the goodness. This way he doesn’t see me wearing the sheet mask, because if he does, he’ll pull it off my face and start dissecting it.

So anyway I’ve recently started using sheet masks again and have already ran out of the few that I had here and there after giving most away. And today I’ll be reviewing one that really stood out to me.

As you might rightly guess, I don’t have an elaborate skincare routine as I used to, and that my skin has seen better days. Currently, I only wash my face once during the day unless I wore makeup in the evening for the gram. And since I wash and moisturize my face just once, my skin has been really, really dull and dry lately. I used this mask after I used a wash-off mask and a physical exfoliator a day ahead so my skin was extraordinarily dry this particular day. Now let’s find out how it performed.

My Experience:

The mask comes in shiny packaging with bling. Inside was a thick mask with a thick, milky white serum. The mask fit my face perfectly and I massaged the excess pearly white serum into my neck and shoulder. Did I tell you that the neck and shoulder area where your aging signs first appear? So never overlook them.

I lay with the mask on besides my sleeping baby and kept scrolling through my Instagram. The mask was so drenched in serum that even after 30 minutes there was no sign of dryness. The key is to take off the mask before it starts drying so the dried-up mask doesn’t soak the moisture right back in. After 30 minutes have passed I went into my mirror and saw a pearly pink tint peaking from the corners of the mask.

When I removed the mask and there was pearly serum with a pink tint all over my face. I massaged it into my skin and my skin looked radiant, brightened, dewy, healthy, immensely hydrated, and yes, pearly. I think it was the effect of the vitamin elixir and I decided to save the second one for a special occasion. Of course, I don’t see an occasion in the near future thanks to the pandemic, but who knows right?

I don’t think my skin has looked this radiant and healthy for the past two years and I just loved the pearly effect just so much. I have noticed the same pearly effect while using the Myglamm Glow Iridescent moisturizer and now I just want to use their serum.

Overall,

I really liked the Myglamm Glow Iridescent Brightening sheet mask and it just made me dive back into my sheet mask craze once again. I would really recommend stocking it up for big events.
