MyGlamm GLOW Iridescent Brightening Moisturizing Cream Review

Yesterday I reviewed the MyGlamm GLOW Iridescent Brightening Sheet Mask and since I loved it so much, I decided to give their Glow Iridescent Brightening Moisturizing cream another try. Honestly, I received it in my PA box a few months ago, and I tried it a few times but it didn’t seem like the perfect daily moisturizer for me. However, I decided that since I liked the sheet mask from the same range so much, I might even like the moisturizer if I give it another try.

Did it work? Let’s find out!

MyGlamm GLOW IRIDESCENT BRIGHTENING MOISTURISING CREAM

GLOW IRIDESCENT BRIGHTENING MOISTURISING CREAMGive It To Me Quick:

  • Moisturises, nourishes and brightens dry, dull skin
  • Powered with rosehip oil – a multivitamin, brightening and moisturising elixir
  • Gives your skin an iridescent glow
  • Hydro crystal complex system locks in moisture

My experience:

When I said that I didn’t like this moisturizer as a daily cream, I really focused on the word ‘daily’. You see, in my previous blog post, I talked about the pearly pink tint that the sheet mask provided. And this cream provided the same. However, what it lacked was hydration. When I first tested this product I really liked the instant brightening effect; perfect for a special day I told myself and saved it for that special day. However, the pandemic didn’t provide me with any special day so it just kept sitting idly in my dresser, until today.

And I gave it another try. Did I like it today? NOPE! It still lacked hydration and as I said in my previous post, my skin has been dry lately. So it wasn’t a good experience overall. Yes, my skin was brightened with a pearly effect but by the evening my skin felt so stretched and uncomfortable that I washed my face and put on a layer of sleep mask over my night serum.

However, I can’t say that I did not entirely unlike it. If you can overlook the lack of moisturization and hydration, or if you can apply it over some generous layers of serums or a sheet mask, this moisturizing cream can give you a gorgeous brightening affect that can make your skin glow like that of a Goddess.

In a hypothetical world if we weren’t living in the middle of a pandemic and I had to frequently go out, I would happily layer this cream over my serums on day when I felt like skipping my cushion compact or foundation. It can also give a dreamy glow if wore under a foundation, again if you can see past the lack of hydration.

But since I am not seeing myself stepping out of the house in the coming months, it’s safe to say that this cream will keep sitting idly in my vanity.

Final Verdict:

This is a great cream if you are looking for an instant brightening effect. It’s almost similar to a tinted moisturizer, only the tint is due to the presence of vitamin elixir. However, if all you are asking from your moisturizer is moisturization, then the MyGlamm Glow Iridescent Brightening Cream is not for you.

Pros:

  • Gives a gorgeous glow to the skin
  • Brightens the skin

Cons:

  • Is not moisturizing enough
  • A bit costly

Price:

Rs 1595
