Toward the end of 2021 I started noticing aging signs across my cheeks and lips. I hadn’t taken care of my skin 3 years prior due to a very tough pregnancy and pandemic motherhood. And it was finally time I took charge of my skin again. I have been adding products with anti-aging benefits to my skin care routine since. And while my skin still doesn’t look like it did during my pre-pregnancy years, it does look a lot better now.

One of my favourite ingredient for  anti-aging benefits is ginseng. And since I love the mugwort range of I’m from, I decided to try out the I’m from Ginseng Range.

Benefits Of Ginseng For Skin:

Ginseng, renowned for its adaptogenic properties, extends its benefits beyond internal health to contribute to radiant skin. Last summer I got myself the I’m From Ginseng Mask, I’m From Ginseng serum and I’m From Eye Cream from Beautybarn, my go to place to avail Korean Skincare products. So here’s my review of all 3 products.

I’m From Ginseng Mask:

My ADHD brain doesn’t follow instructions well. I more or less learn from my mistakes rather than doing it right the first time. So I skipped reading the part where the label of the mask said it will warm up once it touches the skin. And boy it did! I applied it for the first time on one of the hottest days of the year, while visiting my parent’s place which is known for its extreme weather. And was recording it in a room that didn’t have AC. My skin heat up in an instance and the mask melted and fell all over my clothes and were everywhere. I read the label, washed my face, and packed up the mask for winter. I didn’t ever try it in an AC room due to my first experience. The entire episode worsened some existing acne, so now I read labels before trying my products.

I have been testing the product again since November and my skin loves it now. The heat really feels nice on my skin during the harsh winter and I massage it for a few minutes before leaving it on my skin.

Created with 6 year old ginseng roots, this mask is high in anti oxidant. I keep it on for 10-15minutes before washing it off with warm water. It doesn’t dry up the skin and my skin receives an instant glow, and suppleness. I’ve noticed a nice bounce to my skin since I added it to my routine. My skin looks bright post application and on days I get less sleep, it makes my skin look fresh and eliminates any sign of tiredness.

I’m From Ginseng Serum:

Despite ginseng roots having warm properties, I added the I’m From Ginseng Serum to my routine sometime after the summer masking episode. But I made sure to use it with the AC on. It’s become a nice part of my anti aging skincare routine since.

When it comes to aging, there are 4 types of people- sagger, sinker, combination and wrinkler. The names are pretty self explanatory. I am definitely a combination of sagger and sinker. I inherited the sinker trait from my father and it’s noticeable around my eye area.  And I also inherited the sagger trait from my mother that’s noticeable around my lips and cheeks. And if you already don’t know it, genetic aging signs are the worst to treat. However, the I’m From Gingseng Serum has definitely improved my sagging region. Increasing the overall elasticity and making my skin bouncier it definitely reduced the age of my skin.

The glass colored bottle contains an amber colored serum. And though it resembles honey, it’s not sticky at all and absorbs really well. It feels nice on the skin after toner. Layering this serum into my winter routine has helped me combat the dryness during the harsh winter.

Enriched with  Red Ginseng and Panax Ginseng Seed Oil, this serum is my favourite serum at the moment. And I think everyone above 25 should add this to their routine. Oily skin beauties can avoid this serum during the summer. But I think it will suit everyone during the winter given the light texture.

I’m From Ginseng Eye Cream:

For someone who has genetic hollow eyes and severe dark circles, I have incorporated eye creams into my routine at a very young age. And at this point I even layer my eye products- an eye cream after an eye serum. But truth to be told, when it comes to genetic eye bags, dark circles or hollow eyes, products can’t really do much. However, with the right product, I definitely notice a little collagen bounce and reduced darkness.

The I’m From Ginesng Eye Cream comes in a glass jar. The product itself has a rich and luxurious texture. It’s the exact texture that I like for my eye products as runny eye products doesn’t do anything for me. It melts into the skin without any greasiness and my eye area looks a little brighter, though it didn’t do much to combat the hollowness. I definitely believe that people who’s dark circles or puffy eyes aren’t genetic will see great results with it. And am saying that because my eye area is genetically so dark, it takes a lot for an eye product to get any brightness.

Overall, I am genuinely obsessed with the I’m From Ginseng range and I think anyone above 25 or at least 30 should give this range a try.
