So a few months back I received a PR kit containing Belif The True Cream Water Bomb, followed by another PR kit containing The Aqua Bomb. The Water Bomb was the first one that I tested.

Belif The True Cream Water Bomb:

I remember the very first application after a trip to the pediatrician. It was a day spent under the sun after what felt like ages. By the time I showered and applied my toner, my skin was experiencing hot flashes. And then I applied The Belif The True Cream Water Bomb.

I won’t lie, it felt like I just rubbed an ice cube all over my face. It just instantly cooled down the skin. I have never used another product with such an amazing cooling sensation, even better than aloe.

However, later that afternoon I noticed my skin not only looked dull and dehydrated, but a little bit dark as well. I used it a few more times and had the same effect. It just wasn’t moisturizing enough for my skin. And clearly so. The Belif The True Cream Water Bomb is meant for oily and combination skin beauties. And I have normal skin. Of course, it wasn’t working for me. And I just wished that I could just give it to my sister who has oily skin. She really appreciates a moisturizer that has a texture like this. But then I don’t know when we will meet again due to the pandemic.

Belif The True Cream Aqua Bomb

Few days after my not-so-satisfying experience with the water bomb, I left for my hometown during the onset of the second wave. That’s when the PR kit containing the Aqua Bomb was delivered to my Kolkata address. A few weeks later my husband tested covid positive. So the baby and I remained in the safety of my hometown for a little bit longer.

It wasn’t until a couple of months later that I finally got to use the much-raved Aqua Bomb. Due to my experience with the Water Bomb, I didn’t have much expectation from the Aqua Bomb. But boy I was blown! Unlike the Water Bomb which has a transparent gel texture, the aqua bomb has a gel-cream texture in aqua blue. The texture felt light as a feather and it glided into the skin like a dream.

Belief The True Cream Aqua BombIt has a mild refreshing fragrance. Even though the cooling sensation is not as dramatic as the water bomb, it is still worth raving. It felt like I gave my skin a glass of water. Since the Water Bomb made my skin dehydrated, I kept acutely noticing my skin. To my surprise, not only my skin looked healthy and hydrated, it looked quite bouncy by the night. I have never met a moisturizer so lightweight, yet so hydrating.

Ever since then, the Aqua Bomb became my go-to day cream. And sometimes when the weather is more humid, I use it as my night cream as well. Honestly, I live in the most humid part of India and I love how the cream leaves me without a hint of greasiness.

Final Verdict On Belif The True Cream Water Bomb & Belif The True Cream Aqua Bomb :

Belif came up with 3 creams from the True Cream range:

  1. The True Cream Water Bomb is meant for oily/combination skin
  2. The True Cream Aqua Bomb is meant for normal skin and
  3. The True Cream Moisturizing Bomb is meant for dry skin.

After my experience using the Aqua Bomb, I am pretty positive that the reason that the water bomb didn’t work for me is that it is not compatible with my skin. But someone with oily skin might find it suitable.

The Aqua Bomb works great for me because it is compatible with my skin. It didn’t break out my hyper-sensitive skin, moisturizes my skin without making it greasy. And it also gives me bouncy skin which is worth noting because my skin has recently started losing its elasticity. I don’t think I can go back to using any other cream during the daytime.

As for the Moisturizing Bomb, I would really like to try it during the winter. Or maybe even now but as a night cream. I have not tried it myself yet, but given my experience with the Aqua Bomb I guess it would work wonderfully for dry skin beauties.

Price:

Water Bomb- Rs 3010
