The Art Of Home Decor- The Artment

I’ve often wrote about my previous apartment that I strongly disliked. I mean the dislike was so strong that I didn’t spend a penny decorating it and instead brought the entire decor and furnishing from my bachelor apartment. However, once we found out about the pregnancy our first priority was to shift to a healthier apartment. We upped our apartment hunting game and finally found the perfect one exactly a month before I gave birth. We finalized the apartment on January end, shifted on February and I went into labour on 28th February, giving birth on 29th. We discarded the old decor and furnishing and the entire month of February I spent purchasing new furnishing and decorating our new apartment that my husband and I chose ourselves. I mean I know that it’s not wise to spend a fortune on decoration right before welcoming a new baby in the family but I was so happy with our new apartment and the fact that we got to choose it ourselves without any interference that I couldn’t help but splurge. However, my obsession with home decor didn’t stop there and I still keep exploring the internet in search of decors that caters my taste.

That’s exactly how I came across this site called The Artment. It is an online luxury home decor store that curates and collects exquisite pieces of decors with an USP of having an artistic approach. When you open their website or Instagram page, you can find art everywhere. From minimal to maximal, from modern to Victorian, they cater to every taste. Whatever your kind of art is, they have something for you.

You can search their products category wise or art wise. Category wise they have 4 options- Dining, Decor, Gifting and Lighting with multiple sub categories. However, I like to browse their site Art wise. They have- Surrealism, Minimalism, Subtle Pop, The Victorian Collection, Bohemian , Kraak and Nordic Dinner.  My personal favourite is their Minimalist category.

While each of their products are crave-worthy, I got myself a Modern Art Lap Cushion Desk which I now consider an essential for me. As a new mom, I need to be around my baby all the time unless someone else is looking after him. So when I’m working, I get to set up my work station anywhere I want with the help of the Lap Cushion, so I can basically work wherever my baby is. The Lap cushion also helps me keep a good posture. Any mom who had a C-Section delivery will tell you about the pain you endure at the area where they give you the Spinal Block Injection, exactly why I never wanted a C-Section and why I tried my best to have a natural birth until they told me that my baby was in distress. Fast forward to today, I’m still unable to do a lot of basic works, and it’s especially hard for me to sit for long hours in front of the laptop. Which is why this Art Cushion comes in real handy and I can work in a laid back position with a little back support. The lap cushion is locally made which makes me further happy that I’ve taken a step towards the #supportlocal movement.

As of now, I’m really satisfied with my Lap Cushion, but I’m also looking forward to add their Bohemian Macrame Pouffe and their Galaxy Spoon in my decor collection. And while you are at it, you can use my unique coupon code ‘CLARAGOMES’ to avail a 10% off while shopping from their site.
