Hello people! How’s your quarantine going? My go to during this unexpected staycation is binge watching web series. And when it comes to web series, no one does it better than ZEE5. ZEE5 is one of India’s biggest online streaming and original content sites. It has produced many acclaimed series such as Kaafir, Never Kiss Your Best Friend, Netaji and Code M. My recent watch which I am going to review is Poison 2. It is a crime thriller with a great plot and brilliant casting. It has everything a good crime thriller needs – good story, nuanced acting,great music and unexpected twists. The story has 3 main characters and many supporting characters as well. It starts with the leading character of Ranveer who has been served prison time for a crime he did not commit. He’s the wronged man burning with fiery vengeance. And to extract his revenge he comes to Goa only to land in even more trouble with the notorious mafia kingpin Antonio and his subordinate Dominic. The main object of Ranveer’s revenge is DSP who, driven by ambition to become the commissioner of Goa police, is after Antonio. It is interesting how these 3 men engage in a cat and mouse game of drugs, deception and guns to destroy one another.

The casting of series is superb. T as Ranveer delivers a solid performance. His transformation from a violently vengeful man to his eventual emancipation is delivered well by T. And may I add, he looks smoking hot (fangirling).S as DSP gives us a credible performance. It is nothing new to him, he has already played the crooked cop in Commando 2. My biggest reason to watch this series was Aarbaaz Khan. This is his web series debut. The man plays mafia boss Antonio who does every illegal business while wearing the mask of a respectable businessman. Antonio is a man who does not believe in forgiving or forgetting for that matter.

Coming to the music part of the series, the Holi song Rang Barse has been brilliantly delivered.

Overall it is a series worth watching if you are into web series and in search of a good one to watch during this time while staying indoors. That being said, stay home, stay safe, and binge watch some amazing series on Zee5.
