Etude House Air Therapy Hyaluronic Acid Mask Sheet Review

Back in 2016, Etude House discontinued their ‘I Need You’ sheet mask range and launched their ‘.2mm Air Therapy Mask’ range which I personally prefer over their previous range. Almost all of the sheet masks that I used from the .2mm range have the second skin feeling which I dig, they feel really comfortable on my skin and I love their clear essence over milky essence.

I have reviewed a number of sheetmasks (Aloe, Collagen, Tea Tree and Lemon) from this range, and some are still sitting in my drawer waiting to be tested while a couple are in transit. Out of all the masks I’ve tested from this range, the Hyaluronic Acid is up until now my favourite.

Claims:

Etude House’s Air Therapy Hyaluronic Acid Mask main ingredient is its hyaluronic acid that can bind moisture and keep it from escaping skin. It can hold water and maintain a healthy water moisture balance, resulting in moist and more youthful skin. When we age, our skin loses that plumpness and moisture and this mask can provide hydration, firmness, plumpness and supple skin. This mask can also revitalize and renew skin’s outer layers and improve fine lines and wrinkles, making skin softer and smoother as well.

Ingredients:

Water, Dipropylene Glycol, Methylpropanediol, Alcohol, Glycerin, Hydroxyethyl Urea, Biosaccharide Gum-1, Butylene Glycol, 1,2-Hexanediol, Arginine, Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer, Allantoin, Hydroxyethylcellulose, Glycyrrhiza Glabra Licorice Root Extract, Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract, Zinger Officinale Ginger Root Extract, Coptis Japonica Root Extract, Dehydroacetic Acid, Sodium Hyaluronate, Disodium EDTA, Dipotassium Glycyrrhizate, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Polyglyceryl-10 Myristate, Boswellia Serrata Gum, Hydrogenated Lecithin, Citrus Limon (Lemon) Fruit Extract, Rosmarinus Officinalis (Rosemary) Leaf Oil, Beta-Glucan, Citrus Paradis (Grapefruit) Peel Oil, Geranium Maculatum Oil, Melaleuca Alternifolia (Tea tree) Leaf Oil, Ceramide NP, Phytosteryl/Octyldodecyl Lauroyl Glutamate.

My Experience:

Hyaluronic Acid is known for its immense hydration power, and like I always say ‘hydration is the key’. I used this mask on the coldest day of the year, 10^th January, when my skin obviously needed some moisturization. I used the mask the day after using a detox clay mask which is more of a reason why I chose to use this mask that very day. I applied the mask on a clean and toned face; the clear essence was a bit runny and was dripping while I put it on. There was extra essence that I patted on my arms and lay idle for around 30 minutes. It didn’t have the best fitting but wasn’t that bad either.

The sheet was still wet when I removed the mask and my skin was immensely hydrated, plumped, moisturized and brightened. I don’t always click before after pictures but this time I was overwhelmed and had to click an after picture. Yes, I already had glass skin when I used this mask, but this was specifically applied right after 5 days of travelling and minimal skincare (just cleanser and moisturizer) and 6 days of sheetmask skipping, and I didn’t expect 1 single sheetmask to recover 5 days of damage and give me back my glass skin.
