Becoming parents doesn’t mean you stop being cool. And growing older definitely doesn’t mean life has to become monotonous. 😉
So, as I head towards my late thirties, I decided to take a little trip back to what my twenties used to look like — before parenthood, responsibilities and the beautiful chaos of life took over.
Except… this time with a little more sophistication. ✨
I usually love celebrating my birthday curled up at home with my kid, keeping things as low-key as possible. But the day before my birthday, we decided to step out and remind ourselves that we’re still allowed to have *a night out*. 🥂
And what better place than **TUA Dance & Dine**, where dinner doesn’t have to mean the end of the evening? The night here is meant to evolve — from contemporary Pan-Asian food and cocktails to music, conversations and eventually, the dance floor.
Being suckers for Japanese cuisine, we obviously stuffed ourselves with as much sushi as humanly possible, along with some of their signature concept cocktails. 🍣🍸
The food was every bit as good as the vibe, the cocktails brought their own little story, and the whole evening felt like the perfect reminder that growing older doesn’t mean growing boring.
We left with happy hearts, very full tummies and a tiny reminder to ourselves:

When Seiji was 2, we took him to dine out. He looked at the menu very seriously and ordered “chinken pasta” for himself. Needless to say, he couldn’t read, and there were no pictures in the menu either. We just got lucky chinken pasta was actually in the menu very seriously.
As soon as the pasta hit the table, he went on a battle with the pasta straight from the serving table, a battle that he won.
The pasta was still steaming and we were panicking that he is going to burn his mouth, so we started scooping little amount on pasta in a plate to cool down. Which he refused to touch.
Sometimes later, he decided that mamma knows the best, so he gave it one try. But started throwing a tantrum while I tried to replace the serving plate with the dinner plate, all the while stuffing his mouth with steaming pasta.
In the end he won, and went home with a full tummy.

Sundarban Ilish Festival but make it a photography + core jungle boat safari.
With @duikonyatour we skipped the usual Sundarban tourist route and I’m so glad we did.
It’s a trip that made us bring out or old camera and lenses from our vagabond days. As no matter what phones we had, they honestly didn’t do any justice to the tour we took. And we are definitely taking the trip again, this time with our camera.

Watching the #Ramayana trailer in an exclusive 3D theatrical screening was a completely different experience from watching it on a phone screen.
The scale, the visuals, the detailing, and the music truly come alive in a theatre. Hans Zimmer and A.R. Rahman’s score adds so much emotion and grandeur, making every frame feel larger than life.
Ranbir Kapoor as Shri Ram, Sai Pallavi as Mata Sita, Ravi Dubey as Lakshman, Yash as Ravana, Rakul Preet Singh as Shurpanakha, and seeing Arun Govil ji again... it genuinely felt special.

POV: You trust the process.
I visited @missnmam_clinic for my monthly salon and chopped off my waist length hair after 2 decades.
While I had no intentions going bob, my hairdresser suggested I try it out and she seemed like she knew what she was doing so I just decided to trust the process and went with it.
While do kind of miss my waist length hair, it does look fun. And my husband who never saw me with short hair loved how it turned out. He has been asking me to go bob for a few years now.
I also found my skin expert from my Glass Skin era working here. After a long hiatus from visiting salons during my pregnancy, postpartum and lockdown, when I visited the salon I frequently visited, she has left the old salon and I finally found her after years.
