POV: You trust the process. I visited @missnmam_clinic for my monthly salon and chopped off my waist length hair after 2 decades. While I had no intentions going bob, my hairdresser suggested I try it out and she seemed like she knew what she was doing so I just decided to trust the process and went with it. While do kind of miss my waist length hair, it does look fun. And my husband who never saw me with short hair loved how it turned out. He has been asking me to go bob for a few years now. I also found my skin expert from my Glass Skin era working here. After a long hiatus from visiting salons during my pregnancy, postpartum and lockdown, when I visited the salon I frequently visited, she has left the old salon and I finally found her after years. I chose the *Scottish Contemporary Feast Hamper* and added a few thoughtful treats for the new mama— the finest of Edinburgh teas, artisan preserves, a handcrafted lip balm and soap—so they could enjoy a quiet evening together after putting the little one to bed. Because sometimes, the best celebrations aren’t grand. They’re two people in their cosiest pyjamas, sharing good food, sipping tea (and maybe a glass of wine 😉), reminiscing about ten years of marriage while their baby sleeps peacefully. I have always romanticised the woods and the mountains. And ever since I was a kid, I longed more just the vacation. I wanted to live it. So I started planting… spruce trees, Debdarus and salt cedars. Starting from a very young age. A lot of them were cut down to change the pavement when I was away for college. But one of each stands. The last salt cedar was saved by cutting out a tree well. The rest of them, just gone. To be honest they didn’t grow much, the soil was not good that side, my mother says. But the 3 remaining trees grows taller and taller, and breaks down during a bad Kalboishakhi, but keeps growing again. I used to decorate the spruce during Christmas when it was smaller. And today it stands taller even after breaking so many time. 🌲🌳
