Isntree Real Mugwort Clay Mask Review

I’m a sucker for clay masks. So when I was chosen to be on the Isntree Review Bus, I was thrilled because the PR package contained the Isntree Real Mugwort Clay Mask. Mugwort products normally work pretty well on my skin, especially when my hyper-sensitive skin gets irritated by any external trigger.

Coincidentally, the package also contained the Isntree Hyaluronic Acid Water Essence. Now, unfortunately, Hyaluronic Acid doesn’t sit well with my skin. Previously I had imported multiple Hyaluronic Acid products from Haba Lado paying a heck lot of money+ customs and none of them really worked for me. And when I received the Isntree Hyaluronic Acid Water Essence, it didn’t take me long to figure out that this one was not working for me either. But I just kept testing my skin’s limit, continuing the usages despite getting pimples until I had a full-fledged breakout that’s terrorized my skin for almost a month now.

Ironically while one product from the PR package broke me out, another product from the package has kept the breakout under check.

My Experience With Isntree Real Mugwort Clay Mask:

I loved the simple, no-frill packaging with a hygienic tube. The mask itself  is greenish in color and has a powdery fragrance. Before even applying the mask for the first time, I could tell from the creamy texture that the mask won’t dry out the skin like most clay mask do. The mask contains tiny beads of mugwort that I really enjoy while washing it off.

Performance:

I started using the Mugwort Mask when my skin already started experiencing the breakout. I keep the mask on for 15 minutes and wash it off before it completely dries up. Removing the mask can take some patience. And I’m not the most patient person you’ll come across. So I love applying it right before the shower, on a clean face and really enjoy washing it off in the shower. The tiny mugwort beads help exfoliate the skin while 6 clays absorb the sebum, thus unclogging my pores.

Isntree Real Mugwort Clay Mask Review

I’ve noticed a visible improvement in my pore size since I started using this clay mask. And every time I use it, my pimples calm down. While the bigger ones shrink in size with every usage, the smaller ones completely disappear. At the worst phase of the breakout, I had full-blown cystic acne all over my face and it helped calm those down as well.  My breakout hasn’t completely healed. But it’s way under control right now with a few tiny bumps with heads here and there.

Final Verdict:

Mugwort products have never failed me. And the Isntree Mugwort Clay mask hasn’t either. Formulated with Mugwort  and 6 types of clays, it helps calm my breakout, cleans and minimizes my pores, and overall evens out my skin all without drying it out.

I’ll definitely recommend to anyone with oily, acne-prone skin and irritation prone skin.

Pros:

  1. Calms down irritated skin
  2. Heals breakout
  3. Cleans and minimizes the pores
  4. Evens out skin
  5. Exfoliates the skin
  6. Contains bentonite clay, kaolin clay, French Green Clay, colloidal clay
