Lockdown Diaries: Artisan Teas Ft. Karma Kettle

I’ve long been fond of Matcha Tea, Green Tea and Chamomile Tea. And after my visit to Karma Kettle Tea Room I got obsessed with trying as many flavored tea as I can. During my pregnancy I limited my caffeine intake and got addicted to Rooibos Tea which is as good as Green Tea minus the caffeine and tastes better. It also happens to be the best tea you can consume during pregnancy.

Around Diwali I received the Fruitea Gift Box from Karma Kettle which also got my husband hooked with Tahiti, a berry flavored tea. Around Christmas I hoarded boxes of teas at both my parent’s place as well as at my apartment and got a box for everybody. Artisan and flavored tea always comes with wellness benefits and there’s always something for someone. Moksha with peppermint for my snoring husband and my father who suffers from anxiety and insomnia, Tahiti for my brother who suffers from hypertension, Savanna (rooibos) for my mom for its anti aging benefits and because she absolutely loves the flavor, the flavored green teas for my sister and my cousin sister both because they are simply making better choices and because my sister is as obsessed with flavored tea as I am. She is a post doctorate scholar and they happen to gift artisan teas to each other randomly at their lab. And then I gifted a box of Moksha to our pal Shalini of Lostloveadventure for Christmas and then she ordered some more boxes of Moksha to gift her friends for Christmas. She’s a travel blogger and currently hoards flavored tea from places she visits and also brings me some as a token of love for getting her obsessed with flavored teas.

The reason that I chose to write this article now is lockdown. You see, I whole heartedly believe that the more we stay indoors, the earlier we’ll get over this horrible situation and thus instead of posting throwback outdoor pictures on my Instagram I’m focusing on clicking indoor pictures and my current obsession is Tea and coffee shots. And then there’s my husband. Spending his entire night in front of the computer sipping on my collection of teas. After finishing moksha, then Tahiti, he had his last tea bag of savanna yesterday. And then he kept regretting keeping a box of moksha and another box of flavored green tea at his office. Thankfully Karma Kettle is shipping on Amazon and they have Moksha on there. But I still wish they were shipping from their official site as they don’t have savanna and Tahiti on Amazon and I can’t possibly have Moksha as I’m breastfeeding. While peppermint is notorious for drying up breastmilk, Rooibos is known for supplementing breastmilk and is actually one of the best teas one can have during breastfeeding.

So anyway, while I wait for the pandemic to get over, I’m currently picking up a new flavor for me while I order Moksha from Amazon.

P.S : The article is not sponsored in anyway. I was invited for tea tasting at their primary Tea room a couple of years back. I was again invited for tea tasting at their Ballygunj brunch but I was taking my pregnancy test while I received their text so I had to pass, and then I received a Fruit Tea during Diwali. But apart from that I’ve shed a good amount of money to hoard and gift their teas so it’s safe to say that my options are completely honest.
