Deyga Organics Turmeric Mask Review
As a kid, I remember my mom putting homemade turmeric mask on my skin, especially during the allergy season. And then I grew up and left their safe abode to pursue my further studies and then my career. But one thing that hasn’t changed is my mom reminding me to apply neem and turmeric on my skin. Which to be honest is not a feasible solution for my allergies living in a metropolitan city.
I’ll be honest; I did try applying DIY turmeric masks made with commercial-grade turmeric powder. However, every time I got a skin burn. Nothing worked like my mom’s DIY turmeric mask. So the only time my skin got the luxury to douse in the benefit of turmeric was when I visited home.
Luckily that changed when Deyga Organics sent me a package containing their Turmeric Healing Mask a few months back. I have earlier used and reviewed many of their products and I just love them. And I trust them enough to use their baby care products for my baby as well. Their products are 100% organic, handmade, and free from fragrance. Most of their products should be used within 6 months. But that’s how you know that they don’t use any preservatives.
Deyga Organics Turmeric Healing Mask:
Like most of their products, the Turmeric Healing mask too should be used within 6 months and should be refrigerated once opened. It comes in a no-frill jar which can be reused or recycled.
The product costs MRP 600rs for 100ml which I feel is pretty reasonable.
My Experience With Deyga Turmeric Mask:
I won’t lie, as someone obsessed with wash-off masks; I was expecting something with clay-like consistency. But as I opened the jar I found myself fascinated with the gel consistency. Upon reading the label it turned out that aloe vera, vetiver hydrosol, and vegetable glycerine are the reason behind the texture. Not bad!
So I applied a generous layer of the mask and waited for around 20 minutes. It didn’t show any sign of drying off so I washed my face anyway. And I was left with a yellow face that reminded me of my childhood turmeric mask sessions.
It also reminded me of my wedding day when the photographer specifically told everyone not to put turmeric on my face. But a distant relative who I met for the first time that day thought she knew better. And there I was, left with a face so yellow that my make-up artist struggled to work on.
Anyway, back to the Deyga Review, it took me a while to get rid of the yellow but the next few days my skin had a gorgeous glow. As someone who grew up using turmeric on her skin a lot. I’ve learned from a young age to avoid turmeric on any big day. The key is to apply turmeric a few days ahead.
I try to use it only at the PM because of my yellow face issue. But with a routine twice a week usage I am noticing clearer and glowing skin. As a mom of a 1-year-old, I have scratch marks all over my face and neck. And I’m getting one new every few days. This healing mask has reduced a lot of those scars. And the best part is that it didn’t leave me with a skin burn. It suits my skin perfectly and also helps get rid of any irritation and allergies.
Final Verdict:
Overall, I’m extremely satisfied with the mask. Even though it wasn’t what I was expecting (I have a thing for drying masks), I’m glad that I tried it out.
