Discover Diva- Times Fly But Traditions Continue

Sarees are considered to be the oldest form of apparel in the world that’s still in existence. It’s one of the most appealing pieces of clothing one can own and can turn the girl next door to an artist’s muse. Sarees can be handed down to generations, as they say-times change but traditions continue.

I have my personal love affair with saree. If we dig deep down to history we would know how this 9 yards of pure elegance has grabbed the attention worldwide. A saree can make a woman of any age look elegant, gorgeous and stylish. Even though the draping varies from one Indian state to another, nothing beats the unparalleled charm it has to offer.

A friend of mine who is also a big-time saree lover wore an unusual pink and black benarasi which grabbed my attention and that’s when I was introduced to this brand called Diva which is based out of Bangalore. I didn’t even waste a single moment to check out the website.

Diva has a great range of mostly handwoven sarees curated from different parts of India. I have been awestruck with the collection of benarasi and chanderi that they have to offer.

Banarasi sarees are known for their natural silk and excellent embroidery worldwide. The famous handwork on gold and silver zari have won every woman’s heart. Traditionally, Bengali, Hindu women get married in Benarasi Saree and it’s a beauty that’s unparalleled.

I was happy to see the excellent collection at Diva’s website. The use of rich fabrics, embellishments and beautifully crafted design stands out to make Diva’s collection absolutely royal.

Authenticity matters for me and I was happy to know that each and every piece is personally selected by the owner Sumana Kukke from Benaras. She takes the effort to handpick each item straight from the artisans so that there is no compromise on the quality.

The exquisiteness of work on the pure Banarasi silk sarees makes them a must-have in every women’s wardrobe.

Not only the wide range of banarasi but the chanderi also took my heart away. Chanderi is easy to maintain as this fabric is characterized by its lightweight, sheer texture and fine luxurious feel. Chanderi is amongst the best-known when it comes to handloom clusters.

According to the collection, I found the price to be reasonable and affordable. You should check out their website and you would exactly know what I am talking about. It has been a treat to my eyes. Even though endless options have confused me, I am still searching for “the one” for me.

They also have a store in Bangalore which you can visit, by making an appointment.
