Deyga Haul + Review

Have you ever come across a brand and decided that you’ve gotta try all the products they have to offer? Deyga is one such brand that I came across last December, free from chemical , cruelty-free, sustainable, so natural… so pure… and handcrafted with love. If you guys read my blog or follow me on social media you’ll know that I’m all for sustainable products and thus when I first used their products, I instantly fell in love. My aunt is huge on handcrafted products and thus for Christmas I gifted her some body and foot butters from Deyga and she absolutely adored them. As for me, I love everything about their products- the purity, the sustainability, the simple yet classy packaging and of course the fact that they are sooo effective and does everything they claim to.

I did mini reviews of some of their products last December, and I recently did another haul and I’m gonna review the products today.

The products that I got this time around are- Hair Butter, Almond Oil, Rose Scrub and Liquid Gold

I’ll start the review with the Rose Scrub which is my favourite product from this haul.

Rose Scrub:

I ordered this product since I used to use chemical exfoliators pre-pregnancy and then stopped right after taking the pregnancy test. You all probably know the hell of a pregnancy I went through and thus my face had a built up of a year worth of dead skins. The area around my nose was so uneven that I cannot even begin with. Since I still cannot go back to using chemical exfoliators as I’m breastfeeding I chose the Rose Scrub. The loose pink powdered scrub comes in a pretty pink and simple jar and consists of native rose petals, lotus petals, beetroot extract, semolina, aloe vera powder and rice flour. It’s really gentle on the skin and gets rid of the last trace of dead skin. Post application my skin feels so soft to touch and following up with the next products seem like a luxurious experience.

Almond Oil:

It’s 100% pure Cold Pressed Almond Oil and I use it to massage my baby. Sweet almond oil has many benefits when it comes to massaging a baby with it. From just nourishing the skin to helping with indigestion. It’s rich in vitamins E, A, B2 and B6. It relaxes the muscle while improving blood circulation and helping in breathing process. My baby immensely enjoys these massages before bath and giggles when grandma massages his knees and elbows.

Hair Butter:

Besides chemical exfoliators, the other thing that I haven’t used since my pregnancy is conditioners. Since I’m cold prone I didn’t want to wait for 5 minutes with wet hair in the bathroom, and now I don’t have that kind of time. So to moisturize my hair and somehow make an attempt to fight postpartum hair loss I prefer products that I can use before washing my hair and pop into the shower an hour later. Thus this particular product was chosen. It’s a hair butter with thick consistency and contains raw mango butter, shea butter, ylang ylang essential oil and virgin coconut oil. When I first used this product I suffered for a week due to my portion control problem. I scooped out a hell lot of hair butter and massaged on my scalp. Well it took me a week and 3 days of double shampooing to get rid of a scoop of butter stuck on a certain patch where I massaged probably a tablespoon of the butter. However, once I figured out the right amount of butter to be used; my conditioner-deprived hair looked healthy and full of life.

Liquid Gold:

This amazing product is made with Organic Almond Oil, Jojoba Oil, Flaxseed Oil and Pumpkin Seed Oil. However, it didn’t work for me when I used it as a serum, after shampooing, wet hair. It made my hair look like I just had an oil massage, only less sticky. But when used as a hair oil it made my hair soft, shiny and smooth.

Overall, I’m completely in love with the products. One thing you have to keep in mind before investing in their products is that you have to use them within 8 months since they are preservative free, but then again, that’s how you know they are genuinely pure and handcrafted. There are so many more products from their website that I would love to try. There’s nothing that I don’t love about their products.

Pros:

  • Delivered in a sustainable packaging.
  • The bottles, jars and the products are all sustainable
  • 100% pure and organic
  • Hand-crafted
  • Cruelty-Free

Cons:

Absolutely nothing.

Rating:
