Lockdown Diaries: Online Stores That Are Shipping – TGL Co.
One of the most peaceful times of the day for me the past 2 months is sipping on my coffee from my mini cup in the evening while my MIL watches my baby. I mean I love my baby and it’s cute that he’s clingy, but ever laid on bed for 20 hrs a day on one side, yet sleep deprived because your baby needs to be constantly patted back to sleep unless he’s feeding? The only time he doesn’t cling to me is when his daddy is rocking him while walking throughout the apartment. He won’t sleep in his bed, he won’t sleep at all unless hugged by me and he won’t stay with anyone else either. The only other person he goes to is my MIL but he’ll keep coming back to me faking hunger…
So there’s one time a day after I finally get to take a quick nap while his grandma watches him and then I enjoy my mini cup of coffee which is my 10 mins of getaway from my current exhausted life. Out of all the things that I have sacrificed for him, caffeine ain’t one of them, though I’ve cut it down to half cup a day anyway. I love myself a cup of strong coffee, though I’ve always opted for instant coffee and taken to the fact that I currently get barely 10 min a day to myself there’s no other option either. Frankly speaking, my coffee filter has barely been used and I never purchased a coffee machine as the less I have to clean the better.
When TGL Co. Sent me their Euphoria Bold Instant Coffee I was excited to say the least. It’s so far the strongest instant coffee that I’ve tried and half a cup is enough to quench my caffeine craving.
When my hypermesis gravidarum was going severe to mild, I craved to go to a coffee shop for chilli cheese toast, and it was the first thing I had during my pregnancy after months of surviving on IV fluid. Now after my delivery too, I’ve been craving to visit a coffee shop to enjoy a nice evening out, which will also be my baby’s first outing. However, lockdown happened and the best I can do is brew myself a nice cup of Euphoria Bold instant coffee in the evening after getting a much deserved quick nap.
The lockdown also turned my already tea enthusiast husband to a more hardcore one. He’s been working throughout the night while sipping on his (multiple) mugs of green tea and artisan teas. In my previous post I’ve written how he have already gone through my huge stash of teas. While I myself have gone through my coffee stash and all I have left is 1 sachet of instant coffee. So I was browsing through tea and coffee online stores to look for stores that have resumed delivery and found out that TGL Co. who luckily sells both has resumed working.
I’ve been craving to try their Morning Motivation Freeze dried instant coffee, for a long time and their collection of white teas look alluring too. They also have a wide range of green tea collection that I’m dying to try after I’m done breastfeeding. Anyone who knows me, knows that I’m a matcha addict, but I had to choose my caffeine during breastfeeding and I chose coffee because a sleep deprived mama deserves a cup of coffee. My husband loved his box of mogo mogo green tea and my sister is good with her plain jane green tea.
I’m also extremely fond of their classy and sleek packaging as well as the fact that their silken pyramid tea bags are biodegradable. With a zero stash of teas and 1 sachet of coffee left at home, unable to go out, TGL Co. has turned into our only resort. And if you too . And if you too are a tea or coffee enthusiast who enjoy your time at home sipping on your cup of tea or coffee but unable order or go out to purchase, do check out their site, they have something for everyone.
Till then, stay home, stay safe.
