Klairs Rich Moist Soothing Cream Review

Like I wrote in few of my previous articles, I grew some bumps on my skin due to lack of skincare last winter. Some soothing and healing products temporarily worked to reduce them, while some did nothing. Two of my newest addition on the other hand, did the miracle of almost getting rid of my bumps. So today I’ll be reviewing one of the two gems- Klairs Rich Moist Soothing Cream.

Description:

This rich cream promotes immediate and long-term moisture through a nourishing formula for sensitive skin.

Enriched with yeast-derived beta glucan, jojoba oil, and ceramides, it works to strengthen your skin’s protective barrier, rescuing dry and irritated skin, while improving its natural cell repairing capabilities.

Recommended for all skin types, especially sensitive. Its versatility and calming effects helped it earn its place on the list of 2017 Soko Glam Best of K-beauty winners.

This product has a pH level of 7.11

My Experience:

The presence of ceramide, jojoba oil and shea butter was the reason that I had high expectations from the product. Ceramide is naturally produced by our skin to retain its moisture, however, when our skin is irritated, an added boost is needed. During the winter I was unable to follow my skincare routine due to my increased cold allergy living in a humid apartment. My skin was not only irritated, it was dry and I was following my skincare routine only once after showering unless I was going out. Naturally I my skin needed a boost of moisture and something to soothe the bumps.

After the very first usage, I realized that the Klairs Rich Moist Soothing Cream is just what my skin needed. The rich and thick moisturizer applied like a dream and I could really feel how rich the cream was on my skin. It didn’t feel heavy or greasy, but absorbed in sometime, and the next morning I woke up to a nice and plump skin. After a regular usage along with the Cosrx Salicylic Acid cleanser my bumps almost vanished in just a few days and I started flaunting a healthy and soft skin.

Due to the absence of fragrance (as well as filler ingredients), the moisturizer doesn’t have any scent. During the winter I used it after showering and sometimes during my night-time regimen in case I had been out that day. Despite having a rich, creamy texture, it never broke me out even when used twice a day. Instead it compensated my lack of sheet masking.

However, as summer approached, it started feeling a little heavy on my skin especially if used during the day time. For night time, I continued using it, but in a very less quantity as a little goes a very long way. Now keeping in mind that I stay in a very humid region, I skip it on warmer nights and opt for an aloe vera gel instead. But I guess people staying in dry region and people having dry skin type can enjoy using this moisturizer all year round. During my recent trip to Mumbai I didn’t pack it with me not knowing that the weather in Mumbai is a bit dry and I desperately missed this baby. After all, the job of this moisturizer goes beyond just moisturizing and it actually helps sooth angry skin.
