My love for French Berets dates back to pre @emilyinparis era. My first Beret was from Amazon India and though I think it looks good in the pictures, the fit wasn’t really good, it slipped easily from my head and it looked good only if you wore it in a certain style.
My sister on the other hand have been to the city of love thrice and during her third trip I asked her to bring me some Beret. She bought me the purple one and the brown one. The fit is so perfect, you can just throw it in your head before rushing out and it will still look gorgeous.
However, despite being to Paris thrice, my sister hasn’t been able to explore the local market yet. And every time she went to Paris she bought stuffs from me from the tourist market in front of the Eiffel Tower at an insane amount of money. Well, she is a scientist and travels with a packed schedule, so I can’t really fault her for that. But one of my goals for 2024 is that if I visit her in Europe, I will go explore the local markets in France. Instead of visiting the Eiffel Tower, stroll around the streets in front, have croissants at the chic cafes, and explore the local markets for some really good beret. I want one in every colour possible.

Ever since I started suffering from closed comedones, I try to be extra careful about choosing my cleanser. If the cleanser doesn’t do it’s job, my pores get clogged and I have to go under medication to get rid of the closed comedones.
But if the cleanser is way too harsh, then it can damage my skin barrier that already goes through a lot of actives when I treat my closed comedones.

Glühwine also known as mulled wine, is a festive staple. I’ve been hearing about it since my sister moved to Germany few years back. And after reading about the health and skin benefits, I decided to learn to brew a good old Glühwine, using the bottles of red wine my sister brought us from Germany.
It can be brewed using any red wine, so here’s the recipe:
⚪️1 (750 ml) bottle of dry red wine.
⚪️1/4 cup brandy (or orange liqueur)
⚪️1 orange, sliced into rounds (also peeled, if you would like a less-bitter drink)
⚪️8 whole cloves.
⚪️2 cinnamon sticks.
⚪️2 star anise.
⚪️2 to 4 tablespoons sugar, honey, or maple syrup to taste (I use honey)
The whole concoction brewed from anywhere between 15 minutes to 12 hours. I am an impatient person so I brew it for 15 minutes.
Serve hot or warm ♨️
