Saem Healing Tea Garden Green Tea Cleansing Water Review

Hello everyone! I am Anwesha and this is my first post for Beautifullyme.in . I have become a Kbeauty convert and worshipper after I came across our dear Clara’s posts about Kbeauty. Truth be told I had really bad skin condition when I first discovered this blog – dry, patchy, hyper pigmented and yes, severely tanned skin. In short the worst phase possible. So, I thought what’s the harm in trying a few Korean products, especially when everybody is raving about them?  And so, I gathered courage( it took guts to convince mom I tell you!) and ordered my first ever international package from Cosmetic-love.com .

The product that I will be reviewing today is a skin-changing (if not life-changing ) thing for me. I had always wondered about a cleansing agent that would not leave my skin dry or with a oily residue – something as uncomplicated as possible. Cleansing water  a.k.a micellar water is just the product which I was looking for. I had used and loved  another cleansing water by the renowned  French brand Yves Rocher before ordering the Saem Healing Tea Garden one. The only issue with the Yves Rocher one was the sticky residue it left behind after cleansing. During winter months that’s a plus point but during summer it’s just too sticky to ignore.

Anyway, I bought the Saem Cleansing water in Green Tea variant. The bottle is a big 300ml one which has sturdy packaging.  Nothing cute or fancy, just really travel friendly basic stuff. As the name suggests, the product’s consistency is just like water. It has a faint herbal smell. I think it is the smell of the large amount of Green Tea extract that has been added to the product.  I use the product every day twice or thrice as per my requirement. It does not irritate or dry out my skin. It does its job of cleansing to perfection. One thing that I would like to mention, I do not use this cleansing water as a makeup remover.  Internet is filled with articles primarily describing micellar waters as makeup removers. I don’t buy that, sorry! However, I do use this cleansing water to cleanse the last remaining makeup particles or traces of eyeliners after I cleanse my face with a foam cleanser (something which my skin does not like). It removes every single undesirable thing from your skin and leaves it clean and moisturized. No stretchy feeling or rough cleansing.  In fact it does not sting my eyes.

Ingredients:

Purified water, propylene glycol, not blood -7 Caprylic / Capric triglyceride, blood -7 not glyceryl cocoate, can tea (100ppm), baeknyeoncho extract. orange peel extract. lavender extract, jasmine extract, rosemary leaf extract, sciadopitys root extract, district party ex-tract, Portulaca Oleracea extract, sodium citrate, citric acid, disodium this dithiophene this, Butylene glycol, phenoxyethanol, echil hexyl glycerin, 1,2-hexane diol, caprylic rilgeul glycol, Trojan polron

My Experience:

I have felt a noticeable change in the texture of my skin as I continued using it every day. My skin is considerably better and does not turn into Sahara desert within 4-5hours of applying moisturizer. It makes my skin soft and smooth without leaving any tacky residue like the Yves Rocher one.  It does not cause acne or aggravate the existing ones. “How?” you may ask my acne prone sisters. My big sis has a persistent acne problem that makes her skin intolerant to almost anything. She only uses prescription stuff like Sebamed, Saslic etc. This cleansing water did not cause any reaction to her acne. She also uses and likes it. For older and mature skin like that of my mom, it is good as well.  A family skincare product you may say. It is a savior for lazy girls like me who do not want to leave the comfort of their bed. Sometimes I am like cleansing my face while half asleep in bed, surrounded by my books. Just cleanse and slap on some serum or moisturizer and go to sleep.  Uncomplicated bliss!

Pros:

  • Gentle but effective
  • Economical and long lasting
  • Improves skin texture gradually
  • Does not irritate or cause acne
  • Has a moisturizing effect and loads of Green Tea and other herbal extracts
  • Travel friendly and sturdy packaging

Cons:

  • None except availability

 Price: 9.89$

Will I repurchase/recommend?

Definitely!

Hydrolyzed Collagen, Butylene Glycol, Cyclopentasiloxane, Glycerin, Cyclohexasiloxane, Glyceryl Polymethacrylate, Hydrogenated Lecithin, Cetearyl Alcohol, Adansonia Digitata Fruit Extract, Adansonia Digitata Seed Oil, Betaine, Kaolin, Cetyl Ethylhexanoate, Pca Dimethicone, Dimethiconol, Glyceryl Stearate, Sodium Polyacrylate, Stearic Acid, Silica, Ammonium Acryloyldimethyltaurate/Vp Copolymer, Poloxamer 407, Polyglyceryl-3 Methylglucose Distearate, Phytantriol, Ppg-5-Laureth-5, Hydrogenated Polydecene, Hydrogenated Polyisobutene, Alcohol, Water, Disodium Edta, Phenoxyethanol, Fragrance

My Experience:

You guys might know that I stock up on sample products before I travel, so I did some sample haul from Cosmetic-Love before my Bangalore trip and the Etude House Moistfull Collagen Cream was one of them. I got two tiny tubs that lasted me the whole trip. For my night time regimen I stayed loyal to my Taiyu Silk Cream but for my day time regimen I opted for the Etude House Moistfull Collagen cream even though am pretty sure that it’s hydrating enough to be used as a night cream (in a moderate temp).

The cream is extremely lightweight, a bit jelly like and spreads evenly. It takes a few second to be absorbed completely, but once absorbed there’s no sticky or greasy residue. It makes the skin plump and bouncy and you can literally notice a healthy skin within a week of application. The hydration lasts throughout the day, and if you are aware how terrible the summer is at Bangalore you’ll know what my skin has survived during those weeks. I don’t think it would have done the job for a night cream if used during those days because the heat there was so terrible that it can even dehydrate the skin of beauties with extremely oily skin, and then there I was, struggling with my combination, sensitive skin. I honestly doubt any of my regular creams would have helped my skin as much as this one did, and it really surprises me to think that this super lightweight cream can give such hydration boost.

Since collagen plays an important part in anti-aging treatment, and I am 27+ and haven’t incorporated any anti-aging product in my routine yet, I guess staying loyal to this product is the best I can do.

Will I purchase it again?

The whole range, in full sizes.

Will I recommend it?

Yes. Someone recently asked me how to survive Bangalore Summer this year and I must say, this is one product you might wanna try out(a full post on how to survive summer skin coming up).

Benton Snail Bee High Content Mask Pack Review

Hey guys, today I will be reviewing a Sheet Mask that I have had an eye on for some time. I have heard ravings about the goodness of snail extract and even though I was grossed out a little, I still tried out my first snail poo product sometimes back and unfortunately my experience was not as amazing as my expectations were. Luckily my experience with Benton Snail Bee High Content Mask was a lot better. I might disappoint some of you saying that I didn’t take a sheet mask selfie because I looked too ghastly wearing the mask but I hope I can make it up to you guys with the review.

[Features]

[Benton] Snail Bee High Content MaskPack 20g 1 Sheet

Snail Bee High Content Mask Pack is for all types of skin including sensitive and troubled skin types.

This high content mask pack contains Bee Venom, EGF and various botanical based natural ingredients to help improve your rough and damaged skin from various stress and pollution.

In addition to the troubled skin care, cooling, moisturizing, soothing effect, and skin-lifting improvement, this all-in-one multi-care cosmetic has functional ingredients such as Arbutin and Adenosine which help you to achieve clear and more even skin tone complexion.

[How to Use]

Prepare your skin with skin toner after washing your face.

Open the packaging and place the mask gently over the face make sure it adheres to the face.

After 20~30 minutes remove the mask, then pat the leftover ingredients gently into the skin.

My Experience:

You guys might know that I have come back from my Bangalore trip with a terrible, terrible skin and you guys are probably not hearing it for the last time because my skin hasn’t recovered yet. Firstly, because may be the damage is a bit severe, and secondly because I haven’t treated my skin like I usually do after I coming back from any trip. It’s been over two weeks and the tan is still there and so are the weird bumps on my cheeks.

So I used this Snail Bee Sheet Mask a few days after returning when the bumps were at their worst. When I applied it, I was certain that one sheet mask cannot possibly recover this terrible of a damage, but I had expectations that it will at least control. Out of all the sheet masks I have ever used, this one had to be the softest. And this is not the only point where it stood out from the crowd of sheet masks I have ever used. Unlike the regular sheet masks, the main ingredient wasn’t water; it was Camellia Sinesis Leaf Water- green tea. If you think that is impressive enough, wait till I tell you that the eye holes weren’t hollow, there were cut out patches, like you can lift them up on your eyes and relax with the eye patches on, or lift them down and watch your favourite series on Netflix. I wish I didn’t look that ghastly with the mask on so that I could have shown you guys how it works. The fitting wasn’t very good (why I looked ghastly) but it wasn’t that terrible either.

I removed the mask after 30 minutes and my skin was super hydrated and the bumps were visibly minimized. Like something told me that had I got a few more of these masks my skin would have completely recovered by a couple of weeks. Sadly I ordered just one and Cosmetic-Love takes a little time to ship.  So even though it didn’t completely heal my skin, it really did some damage control and I am impressed.

Price:

$2.18

Pros:

  • Does what it claims
  • Contains Snail Extract that’s much raved for their anti-aging benefits and their soothing power
  • Contains Bee Venom that’s known as nature’s botox
  • Affordable
  • Paraben free
  • Works on sensitive skin
  • Has got eye patches

Cons:

Nothing

Will I re-purchase and recommend it?

Absolutely

The Face Shop Herb Day 365 Cleansing Foam Lemon Review

Hey guys, I haven’t been writing for a while as there’s been a medical emergency in our family and things aren’t going very great. However, since writing helps me take my mind of things for a while and I somehow managed to get some decent sleep this afternoon, I decided to review a foaming cleanser that I’ve been using for a while.

I’ve said this earlier that I am not a huge fan of The Face Shop products and it’s basically the only K-Beauty brand that hasn’t impressed me. But during that much raved TFS launch at Nykaa I got myself a few products (even though I wasn’t very impressed when I shipped some of their products from South Korea long before the launch) and I’ll be reviewing The Herb Day 365 Cleansing Foam Lemon today.

Ingredients:

Water, Myristic Acid, Stearc Acid, Glycerin, Potassium Hydroxide, Butylene Glycol, Lauramide Dea, Ceteth-20, Citrus Medica Limonium (Lemon) Fruit Extract (1%), Juniperus Communis Fruit Extract, Melissa Officinalis Leaf Extract, Aspalathus Linearis Extract, Lilium Candidum Flower Extract, Aesculus Hippocastanum (Horse Chestnut) Bark Extract, Borago Officinalis Extract, Saponaria Officinalis Leaf/Root Extract, Salvia Officinalis (Sage) Leaf Extract, Centaurea Cyanus Flower Extract, Echinacea Purpurea Extract, Anthemis Nobilis Flower Extract, Citrus Paradisi (Grapefruit) Fruit Extract, Salix Nigra (Willow) Bark Extract, Carica Papaya (Papaya) Fruit Extract, Glycol Distearate, Peg-40 Stearate, Peg-8, Dipotassium Glycyrrhizate, Propylene Glycol, Disodium Edta, Methylparaben, Propylparaben, Fragrance (Parfum), Yellow 5 (Cl 19140)

My CosDNA analysis came up almost clean except for some red flags- a whooping 3 acne red flag for Myristic acid, 2 for Stearic acid, 1 for Butylene Glycol.

Price:

Rs 300 for 170 ml.

Quick Overview:

A mild type of cleansing foam with peach extract , this formula by Faceshop leaves your skin super fresh and clean! This formula penetrates deep into your pores to remove impurities & buildup that can cause clogged pores & ugly blackheads. Enriched with pure Lemon and nine kinds of herb extracts, this lovely foam provides moisture and nutrition that leaves skin soft, clear elastic and youthful. Perfect for all skin types, this beauty essential is an absolute must have!

My Experience:

The reason I chose this particular cleanser from the whole range is that I’m always on the lookout for products that can brighten the skin tone, and since this one contained lemon, I had high hopes.

My first thought upon unboxing the package was that it’s a huge tube for just 300 bucks. However, I wasn’t ecstatic to get a huge tube for that steal of a price; instead, I kept thinking what can I expect from a cleanser that comes for just 300 bucks. My skeptical mind didn’t take too long to be proven right. Right when I used the foaming cleanser for the first time, I felt like the pH level is too high. The citrusy smell felt pleasant, but the massive amount of foam it created reminded me of the Skinfood Egg White Pore Cleanser that has a pH level as high as 10.5. The aftermath of using the cleanser was almost the similar to the Skinfood one, my skin felt dry as a desert.  I continued using the cleanser for 3 weeks because that’s how long I use a skincare product before reviewing and I saw no brightening effect or noticeable change in my skin.

All the while I kept looking for a pH strip to check the pH level but since I couldn’t get my hands on any, I tried Googling the pH level and turns out that the Spearmint and Acerola Cleansers from the same range has a pH level as high as 9 while the average pH level for a cleanser should be 4-5.5. I was genuinely annoyed, I already have one high pH cleanser sitting idle in my cabinet and a second one was the last thing I needed.

Pros:

  • Budget friendly

Cons:

  • Probably has a high pH level
  • Strips skin of the moisture
  • Contains Paraben
  • No noticeable change in skin

 Will I repurchase it?

 Never

Will I recommend it?

 No

Dear Klairs Rich Moist Facial Soap Review

Hey guys, am back with yet another K-beauty review and this time it’s the Dear Klairs Rich Moist Facial Soap which was sent to me as a PR package.

What the product claims:

The Rich Moist Facial Soap is a light pink facial soap that contains calamine powder to provide excellent soothing for sensitive skin.

Argan oil and Yermar mate, which contains over 5 times more polyphenol than tea tree, effectively moisturizes and delivers antioxidants to the skin.

Ingredient:

Calamine, Yermar mate, Argan oil, Jojoba oil, Almond oil

My experience:

The Rich Moist Facial Soap comes wrapped in an eco-friendly brown paper and as the product claims, is a pink facial soap. I’ve rarely used facial soaps as I stick with foaming cleansers but I was surprised to see how easily and amazingly it lathers up. If you’ve read my previous posts you’ll know that I’ve came back from Bangalore with a terrible skin. Both my cheeks are filled with weird tiny bumps and I’ve been avoiding applying anything even mildly harsh on my skin. Since the Rich Moist Facial Soap claims to work excellent on sensitive skin I’ve been religiously using it twice daily and the bumps seems to minimizing ever since I started using this facial soap. It’s really gentle on my super sensitive skin and I feel like it deep cleanses my skin as my toner soaked cotton pad didn’t pull out any residue and I went back to spraying my toner directly on my face instead of applying it with a cotton pad.

Apart from this, the facial soap didn’t perform extra-ordinary skincare task, didn’t help me with de-tanning or skin brightening and it didn’t claim to. It’s a gentle facial cleansing bar that soothes the skin while deeply cleansing it and I am pretty sure it will be worth a try for sensitive skin beauties.

Will I purchase it?

Yes

Price: Rs. 720 Rs. 620 for 120mg

Pros:

  • Deep cleanses
  • Perfect for sensitive skin
  • Probably will last long
  • Eco-friendly

Cons:

Nothing. (Might look pricey but I have a feeling it will last too long)

Astaberry Papaya Sunscreen Creme SPF 18 Review

Hey guys, hope you all are doing well. I am back with yet another sunscreen review because you know summer?

So I received Astaberry  Papaya Sunscreen Cream SPF 18 as a PR sample and as soon as I went through the ingredient list I knew that it contains both Chemical Suncreen (in the form of Benzophenon) as well as physical sunscreen ( in the form of Titanium Dioxide). Now if you’ve been reading my blog for a while you’ll know that I’ve a super sensitive skin that reacts terribly to chemical sunscreens. However, I still decided to do a patch test and the skin on my elbow started stinging bad in just a matter of time. So the sunscreens went straight to my mom whose skin survives almost everything.

I really think that SPF 18 isn’t enough for Indian Skin especially if you tend to spend long hours in the sun, it can be a good option for people who usually stays indoors during the daytime. My mother if you ask me stays out in the sun for 2-3 days a week and stays in the rest of the days. She’s also got some stubborn blemishes that become worse if exposed to sun a little too much.

The sunscreen comes in a yellow coloured tube with a flip cap and is travel-friendly. The consistency of the sunscreen is runny, just like a typical chemical sunscreen and blends really well. Even though it behaves really well on my mom’s skin, I have a feeling that it might turn a little greasy on oily skin. If you already didn’t know, chemical sunscreens sometimes double as a primer, and this one’s one of those chemical sunscreens. It doubles as a moisturizer too in case you don’t have a very dry skin. About the dark spot removal claim, I’m not very sure because my mom’s blemishes are really very stubborn.

Price:

90 rupees for 100 ml

Where to buy:

Official Website, Flipkart, Paytm

Pros:

  • Pocket friendly
  • Travel friendly
  • Blends really well
  • Can be a very good option for people that don’t have a sensitive skin.
  • Paraben free

Cons:

  • Not suitable for sensitive skin
  • SPF 18 is not enough for people that stays long hours under the sun(but they have options to choose from the Astaberry Sunscreen range).

4.5/5

Oshea Herbals UV Shield Sunblock Gel SPF 20 Review

I’ve earlier talked about the difference between a sunblock A.K.A physical sunscreen and a chemical sunscreen. Physical Sunscreens are usually hard to blend and leaves a white trace but suits even the most sensitive skin, on the other hand, chemical sunscreens doesn’t suit everyone but if it does, it blends really well and can even act like a primer.

Sunblocks usually contains Titaniam Dioxide or Zinc Oxide or even both so when I received Oshea Herbals UVShield Sunscreen Gel SPF 20 I went through the ingredient list and found phenylbenzimidazole sulfonic acid which is a chemical sun screen agent. Usually chemical sunscreens react terribly on my skin so I am very careful about sunscreens. I did a patch test and my skin wasn’t irritated. I still wasn’t convinced so I did another patch test and my skin still wasn’t irritated. Finally I got the courage to apply it on my both arms and the skin on my arms was just fine. So on fourth day I applied the sunblock gel on my face and have been using it ever since.

What The Product Claims:

An oil free uvscreen gel made with ext. of porphyra umbilicalis a natural U.V. protection factor, vertiver, aloevera, carrot, cucumber & chamomile is ideal for specially in hot and humid weather. It not only protect you from all forms of sun damage like tanning, sun spots and premature ageing but also lightens skin by regulating its skin darkening pigments.

My Experience:

I am that kind of person who would never go out in the sun without applying a sunblock containing SPF 50 because my skin gets tanned like nuts. Usually I opt for cushion compacts for the best protection and since those cannot be applied on arms and other exposed areas I use a different sunblock on my body with a lower SPF. On days I stay indoors I opt for lower SPF sunblocks as well. So when I found out that the Oshea Sunscreen Gel SPF 20 suits my super sensitive skin I thought that I finally found my Holy Grail SunBlock for my body and my indoor days.

The sunblock gel is super lightweight unlike regular sunblocks and settles down on the skin within a few minutes. No greasiness like a sunscreen or white traces like a sunblock. I liked the effect so much that I took it with me to my Bangalore trip intending to use it on my body but then ended up using it on my face as well. Since it contains SPF 20 I tried re-applying it every 2 hrs if I went out in the sun because the heat was overwhelming. I thought SPF 20 wasn’t enough to protect my skin from the scorching heat because if you know me you’ll know that I wear layers of sunblocks: A day cream containing SPF- Sunblock with at least SPF 50 – Compact Powder with SPF. However the day cream and compacts I packed with me didn’t contain SPF (my bad) and I was worried actually about the amount of tanning my skin will receive. Luckily for me the tan wasn’t that bad, maybe it was my patience of re-applying it every 2 hrs or may be the sunblock is just as good, I am in love.

However though, if you are someone who stays out in the sun for long hours I would recommend getting a sunblock gel from Oshea with a higher SPF. If you are someone like me who usually stays indoors (unless I’m travelling) you should really, really give it a try.

Price: Rs.180 for 120ml

Pros:

  • Cheap
  • Travel friendly
  • Doesn’t make skin oily or greasy
  • Absorbs amazingly
  • Suits my super sensitive skin
  • Lightweight

Cons:

  • Contains paraben

The Saem Pure Natural Mask Sheet- Snail Brightening Review

Hey guys, you might have noticed that am not writing much these days. I’m currently on a trip to Bangalore having somewhat a great time. I’m crashing with a friend (and sometimes with my sister and a college buddy) and needless to say that am trying hard to get her into K-beauty and she’s already in love.

So today I’ll be reviewing The Saem Snail Brightening Mask which is the first product with Snail Slime that I used as well the first Sheet Mask that my friend ever used. Unfortunately it wasn’t that great.

Product Description:

Formulated with snail extract which provides intensive moisture. 4 kinds of white flower complex gives clear and birhgt skin care.

None of paraben, artificial color, benzophenone, sulphate

My Experience:

When I first used this mask I was a little grossed out. Surprisingly the smell was pleasant. There was a little dripping of essence and a lot essence left inside the packet so people who love using the extra essence on their arms and neck will be happy. The fitting is pretty good, the eye holes are a little weird but I love how there are less wrinkles.

The mask dries out faster than any other sheet mask I’ve ever used and when I remove it, there’s no immense hydration noticeable on the skin. It looks somewhat like a regular essence has been applied rather than that dewy, hydrated look achieved after sheet masking. A faint brightening effect can be noticed the following morning but not noticeable enough to impress me.

Overall, I’m not very much in love. I have heard great things about products containing snail slime and my first experience was disappointing. (I used another essence and cream later and I’m in love). Considering that different products work differently on different skin, I used one on my friend but sure enough the effects were the same.

K-Beauty Mini Sample And Sheet Mask Haul

Hey guys, hope you all are doing well. I’ve done a mini sample and sheet mask haul from cosmetic-love.com as it’s time for me to travel again. It’s going to be my first solo tour as well as my spinster trip and as you guy know how I love packing sample-size and travel-size products while travelling, I ordered a few things I didn’t have in tiny sizes.

Starting with sheet masks, because why not? I know I already have enough in my stash to pack one for each day during my trip but I don’t need any excuse to stock up on them.

  • Benton Snail Bee High Content Mask Pack: I had been eying this product for a long time. I first ordered this last September but didn’t receive it. When I mailed them for re-order it was OOS (and I got a refund). So finally I got my hands on this and I have such high hopes.
  • Missha Real Tencel Sheet Mask: Missha happens to be a beloved brand of mine. However I never tried any sheet mask from them. I hope it’s as good as their essences.
  • Etude House Moistful Cream Collagen: 10ml x 2PCS- Again one of my most favourite K-Beauty brands. Etude House products reminds me of dollhouses. I have heard wonderful things about the Moistful range and I couldn’t help but apply it on my face even before I set out for my trip. I love it already. I’m going to purchase the full-size version soon.
  • Missha Chogongjin Eye Cream – Another Missha product. I’m touring for 11 days and I got a 10 set sample of which I already used one. I sample will last you only two usages so I don’t have to worry about the messiness.
  • Tonymoly Tomato Magic Massage Pack- It was freebie sample that I received with one previous order as well. Even though I would have loved to try out new products as samples but I am fine with these ones as well. They came to my rescue when I got severely tanned in Andaman despite of re-applying sunscreen every 3 hours. I tanned at least 2-3 shades darker and whenever I applied this pack I de-tanned to some extent, not too much but enough to recognize myself in the mirror.

So that’s everything I purchased this time, I’m so looking forward to my trip as well as am anxious because I haven’t travelled alone ever before. This time I’m taking my boyfriend’s camera because his viewfinder rotates and probably I’ll have to click my own pictures this time (except for the times I’m meeting up with my sister and my friends that resides over there).  Also can’t wait to review the products I purchased. Till then… Bye… XOXO

New K-Beauty Site In India- Daisy Skin Fix Haul & First Impression

Hey guys, it’s with great excitement that I am going to announce something really huge (at least to me). There’s an online K-beauty store in India where you can get a massive collection of Korean Skincare Brands, brands you didn’t know were available in India. So rejoice Indian K-beauty addicts, you can now get your hands on a number of K-beauty brands now. You have to no more rely on Innisfree and The Face Shop or ship internationally, you can get them all hassle free right in India.

But first thing first, this is not a sponsored post but the products I received were kind of freebie. You might have noticed by now that this article is a bit different from my usual ones, the reason is my pure ecstasy over the fact that I can now get my hands on a huge collection of K-beauty products without having to ship internationally, this has been my dream for over the past few years. And the best part? They have free shipping on all orders.

How I discovered their site:

So I got a mail from their founder a few weeks back, introducing me to their site- http://www.daisy.net.in/ I went through the site, some of the products I craved for were OOS but I ordered a few sheet masks. For now they are only accepting bank deposit and bank transfer so you have to pay after you have placed your order. Right after I placed the order, I received a personal text from the founder that I don’t need to pay for my order, and within a few days I received my order along with two samples.

If you have been reading my blog regularly, you’ll know that my first online haul from any site is always small, so I settled with just a few sheet masks all the while eyeing their products from Missha, Tonymoly, Skinfood, Secret Key, The Saem and so on.

Skinfood, Tonymoly and Missha are probably my most favourite K-beauty brands. Other brands available at their site are-

COSRX, The FaceShop, Innisfree, Skinfood,Tonymoly, Missha, The Saem, Sulwhasoo, Mizon, Zymogen, Ciracle, Secret Key, Laneige, Son & Park, Nature Republic, Dear Clairs and many more.

After I received my order I had a talk with their founder. Turns out their business is at the baby step right now and only two of the co-owners are doing the entire work- one from Korea and one from India. However, they are looking forward to hire stuffs, adding more payment methods, making the site even more user friendly, getting better deals and including more brands as well as opening a physical store. So I hope it’s just a matter of time that they will overcome the only two issues I found a little bothersome- the payment method, and taking a while to restock OOS products

First Impression:

I have tried out The Saem The Snail Brightening Sheet Mask just today. When I first got introduced to K-beauty, I thought that I will never put Snail Poo on my face. And here I am writing the article with a face full of snail slime. Since I have used it just an hour ago, I can’t tell much except for the fact that I loved the fitting. The eye holes made my face look a bit weird but so far it’s the best fitting mask I’ve ever used.

Is there any product from their site you would like me to review?

 My Experience:

When I said it reminded me of the Innisfree Vita C Mask Sheet, I meant that the very first impression of the whole packaging reminded me of the Vita C mask. However, upon tearing the packet I was surprised to see that The Solution mask came attached to a film similar to the Vita C mask. My expectations went higher. The Vita C Mask worked amazing on me and I was hoping the same from it.

The sheet was drenched in enough serum but there were no extra serum dripping from it. I know that some people like it when there’s extra serum left inside the packet, but I am better off without that kind of messiness. The fitting wasn’t terrible, but wasn’t perfect either. There were a few wrinkles but otherwise I was happy with the fitting. I kept it on for about 30 minutes and when I removed it, the sheet was still damp. I didn’t notice any initial change in my skin except for the fact that it was immensely moisturized.

I usually sheet mask during my night time regimen but this once I used it during my morning routine post exfoliating. The brightening effect was visible within an hour and I was really happy with it. I went to bed with a moisturized, hydrated, brightened and happy face. The next morning? It was all gone. No brightness,no immense hydration. I took a 3hrs train to Kolkata that afternoon and by the time I reached Kolkata my skin was back to being its usual self. It was a bit clearer though but I like the brightening effect of a brightening mask to last at least 2-3 days.

Will I purchase it again?

Nah…

Innisfree Water Glow Cushion SPF 50 + PA +++ Review

Cushion Compacts are a gift to us from the K-beauty brands. After BB Creams, CC Cream, DD Cream and sheet masks, they came up with this revolutionary creation which will make you want to pack your regular foundations and sunscreens away. However, I am a little too late to get my hands on one of the beauties since the only K-beauty brand in India is far away from my city and I had to literally quit my job to finally visit the store as I wasn’t able to manage any leaves. I shopped at the Innisfree store like crazy and it’s a little hard to evaluate for me which pick is my favourite one. I came back to my city like a victor, purchasing a small briefcase dedicated entirely to the products I picked up from the store. The cushion compact however is at the top of my favourite list right now.

The packaging:

I cannot be more happy with the packaging. It’s really easy to travel with. With a film to protect the sponge, the compact cannot get any more hygienic.

My Experience:

DSC02330

The Water Glow Cushion Compact is meant to give the skin the much adored dewy finish. I fell in love with the compact after the very first usage. It gives the skin a medium coverage but it is totally build-able in case you want a better  coverage. As for me, I am very satisfied with the coverage I don’t think I’ll need my usual sunscreens ever again. The staying power is pretty good to. It’s an universal rule to re-apply your sunscreen every 3 hours so whenever am out in the sun for over 3 hours I clean my face with a cleansing wet wipes, spray on some mist on my face and apply the cushion compact all over my face and neck. I feel that’s the most hygienic way to protect my skin from the sun.

Apart from the staying power and the coverage, the application is also worth noting. You just have to dab the smooth, soft puff into the cushion and just pat, pat, pat, all over your face. You might notice the whitish tone in the cream post application, that is because most of K-beauty brand sunscreen uses physical sunscreen instead of a chemical one, which is actually great for your skin. However, unlike any other physical sunscreen, this cushion compact blends super easily on the skin, whereas any other physical sunscreen takes a little effort to blend in and leaves a weird white residue.

The best part? when you feel like your cushion has tried up, just flip it over and use it until that end becomes dry too. The sponge is replaceable and when both the ends become dry you just can purchase a re-fill instead of purchasing the whole thing.

Nothing delights me more than seeing the Zinc Oxide and Titanium Dioxide duo in my product list. 😀

Pros:

  • Travel friendly
  • Contains SPF 50+
  • Doesn’t contain parabens
  • Organic sunscreen
  • Good coverage
  • Gives the skin a dewy look

Cons:

Nothing that I can find, except for it can be a little too pricey for those who are in budget, but that is totally worth it.

The Herb Boutique Zesty Sweet Orange Body Polish Review

Hello everybody, hope you are all doing well. Remember the huge PR package that was sent to me sometimes back?

I have been using the products for a while and it’s about time I start reviewing them as well. Starting with my favourite products inside the box- Zesty Sweet Orange Body Polish.

ABOUT THE HERB BOUTIQUE: The herb boutique is a brand with all things organic. Their products are sulphate, Paraben and cruelty free.  The brand provides products for body and health care. They have body polishers, organic soaps, organic honey, bath salts, hair oil for damaged hair and also variety of organic teas.

I have heard about body polishes so much but haven’t used one before. Needless to say I had no idea what to expect, but since it contained orange zest and orange juice I was really hoping it would remove my horribly stubborn tan that Andaman left me with.

PRICE AND AVAILABILITY: INR 999/150grams, Available at www.theherbboutique.com

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION: Awaken your senses with this irresistible scent of citrus from a blend of sweet oranges, vital minerals, and pure almond oil. Zesty Sweet Orange Body Polish will give you a skin that commands respect. Made with only natural products in its purest form, this body polish will rejuvenate your skin.

My Experience:

The Zesty Orange Body Polish comes in a heavy duty jar. As you can see the brand sent me a wooden spatula along with the package, scooping out the body polish really is convenient and hygienic. The texture of the product is thick and sticky with tiny grains. The best part about the polish is that the grain melts after they have done their job, so there’s no need to worry about over-exfoliating. The colour of the product is rich orange and looks and smells yummy. I don’t know about you but citrusy fragrance really refreshes my mind and body. The application of the product is as luxurious at it can get.

The skin becomes super soft and smooth post polishing. As for my tan removal expectation, it indeed removed my tan, but very gradually. If you aren’t much tanned, you can as well expect some brightening effect. Even though it does not dry out my combination skin, I prefer using a body cream throughout the year.

Pros:

  • Does everything it claims
  • Comes with a wooden spatula
  • Chemical and paraben free, all organic ingredient list
  • The grains/granules are super tiny and melts when their job is done, so there’s no fear of over-exfoliating
  • De-tans and brightens skin

Cons:

  • It might seem pricey but since it’s pure organic I think it’s somewhat reasonable

Blossom Kochhar Aroma Magic Aromatic Skin Toner Review

I’ve raved so much about the importance of toner in all my skincare routine posts. You might feel that it’s an extra step, but once you include a toner in your routine you’ll figure out the difference it makes. Not to mention that they maintain the pH balance of our skin, the right toner can as well minimize the pores and even control break out. But there’s one catch, alcohol based toners can rip your skin out of its natural moisture making your skin dry so avoid using them at all cost. I know many people use toner to remove whatever dirt and makeup are leftover after cleaning their face. I personally think that if your toner drenched cotton pad is taking out dirt or makeup residue from your skin, you are not cleaning your face right. As you can guess my toner drenched cotton pad NEVER gets a trace of dirt or sebum or makeup from my double cleaned (and usually exfoliated or wash off masked) skin, I love spraying my toner all over my face instead of using a cotton pad.

I have been using the Kama Ayurveda Distilled Rose Water for a long time and was on a lookout for an actual toner that was alcohol free. The Aroma Magic Skin Toner caught my eyes from the shelf of the Salon I go to. I’ve purchased so many products from Aroma Magic from that Salon and have loved most of them. I picked up the toner, read the level saying ‘I am 100% free of alcohol, paraben…’ I didn’t read any further, it was mine.

Product Description: Aroma Magic Aromatic Skin Toner for all types of skins. Aroma Magic Aromatic Skin Toner is an alcohol free antiseptic skin toner. It closes pores, softens facial lines, restores skins natural pH and provides radiance and refreshed feeling.

Features:

  • An alcohol free antiseptic skin toner
  • Closes pores, softens facial lines, and restores skin’s natural pH level

Price: Rs. 170 for 200 ml or Rs. 100 for 100 ml

My Experience:

The level at the back of the bottle said to spray it on your face. So of course you’ll expect a spray nozzle inside. To my horror, there was no nozzle at all. I tried using it by putting a cotton pad on top of it and shaking it, but so much products were spilled. I had no idea why would they package such a wonderful toner in such an useless package. Was it because it costs just 100 bucks? I Googled reviews from other bloggers and found out that their bottles do contain a nozzle, if not a spray nozzle. Was it just mine or have they changed the packaging? If it was just mine then was it a manufacturing defect or was my toner not a genuine one? I can vouch that the salon I got it from won’t sell fake products. So I don’t know what happened in there.

Then I came up with an idea. I had so many empty bottles of the Kama Ayurveda Rose Water mini version. I washed one up and poured the toner into the bottle and tada! I can spray an alcohol and paraben free all natural toner on my face, perfect! Does that sound unhygienic? May be, but at least am getting to use the product now.

The toner is super watery which is why so much product got wasted when I tried to use the first time. I have used rose waters and toners with my finger tips many times but with this toner it is just impossible. The toner has a mild fragrance which I don’t like or dislike, I don’t bother about it at all. However, upon religious usage I have noticed that my (hormonal) breakouts and the occasional weird bumps have been controlled. It says it’s for oily skin, and I have a combination skin which gets oily during my hormonal days, so I limit the usage of this toner to once a day, while during my daytime regimen I continue using my Kama Ayurveda Distilled Rose Water.

I absolutely love it. If you are someone who prefers using a cotton pad for applying a toner, you are supposedly going to love it even more for it works like a hero on clearing away excess oil and sebum. Oily skin beauties- this one’s for you, combination skin beauties- you can give this one a try.

Will I repurchase?

If it came with a spray nozzle or at least a normal nozzle I would never purchase any other toner ever. Considering it doesn’t, maybe I’ll continue pouring it in my empty rose water bottles, but I will still be on the lookout for my Holy Grail toner that comes with a spray nozzle (or at least any nozzle).

Will I recommend it?

If you can pour it in any spray bottle, or if you can come up with your unique method of using it, please give it a try.

Where to buy:

Official Site, Purplle, Nykaa, Amazon

 Pros:

  • Controls oil
  • Controls breakout
  • Removes excess sebum from the skin (okay I tested that once)
  • Paraben, Alcohol, Chemical Free
  • Super Cheap

Cons:

  • Doesn’t come with a nozzle
  • Thus not travel friendly

Natural Bath and Body Grapefruit & Vitamin C Gel Face Masque Review

Grapefruit extracts are loaded with anti-oxidants and are great our skin. But the bad news is that they can be potential irritant on sensitive skin. I still gave the Natural Bath & Body Grapefruit and Vitamin C Nourishment Cream a try considering their products work really great on my skin. However they broke me out and gave me bumps on my cheeks that took too long to go away. So when I received the Bath & Body Grapefruit and Vitamin C Masque with my Fab Bag I wasn’t happy. I still wanted to give it a try. It broke me out without fail. I wasn’t using any other new product back then but I still considered giving it another try, and it broke me out again. I got weird and tiny red bumps on my face and I never bothered to give it a third try.

What Does it Claim?

Nature’s most powerful antioxidants- Vitamin C, grapefruit oil and plant extracts team up together to create this whitening gel pack. This citrus facemask gently removes impurities and reveals skin thats remarkably lighter, whiter and brighter. Formulated with a precise concentration of Vitamin C that is known for its anti-aging and antioxidant powers, this gel also nourishes collagen fibers to maintain skin firmness. It is combined with Grapefruit extract to enhance its ability to lift the skin complexion and protect it from environmental damage.

Price: Rs. 325/- for 100 ml

My Experience:

The masque comes in a orangish gel like consistency that contains tiny beads for exfoliating. Like the instruction said, I applied the mask on a clean face and I started noticing a tingling sensation on my skin. I guess that’s because of the Vitamin C. I washed off my face after 15 minutes and within half an hour or so, I started noticing weird bumps on my skin. My skin doesn’t usually react to products containing Vita C so I guess it was just the Grapefruit Extract. I’m staying away from them for the rest of my life.

Pros:

  • Paraben and chemical free
  • Spreads and washes off easily

Cons:

  • Broke me out
  • Didn’t do anything it claimed to

Innisfree Capsule Recipe Pack Rice Sleeping Pack Review

Hello everybody, today I’ll be reviewing the Innisfree Capsule Recipe Pack in rice which is a repeat purchase from Innisfree. I bought it for the first time during my Delhi trip last year and I was so in love that I ordered it again when Innisfree launched at Nykaa. I’ve been reading about the benefits of sleeping packs ever since I got introduced to K-Beauty and it’s the first one I tried, so far the best one as well.

Sleeping packs are twice a week alternatives for night creams which are supposed to be left on overnight and wash off in the morning with regular cleanser followed by the morning routine. So while you sleep, your skin absorbs all the goodness and you wake up with a well-behaved skin. Sleep packs often come with anti-aging benefits, and just like any other beauty products, different sleep packs offer different treatments.

My love for rice products are no secret, they are so purifying and provides such an amazing brightening effect, I’ve used rice masks from Etude House, Tonymoly, Skinfood, Innisfree and loved the ALL, none of them disappointed me.

What it is

A capsule recipe containing rice to brighten your skin
1. Brighten and nourish your skin using rice ingredients.
2. Enriched sizzling formation provides skin solutions.
3. A night pack that you apply and allow to absorb overnight.

How to use
  1. Massage an appropriate quantity into you face as the last step of your skincare regime. Rinse off with warm water when you wake up the following morning. Choose the capsule that best suits your skin.
    2. Insert the lid into the slit of the container and close it to keep it fresh for your next use.

Ingredients:

WATER,BUTYLENE GLYCOL,HYDROGENATED POLY(C6-14 OLEFIN),GLYCERIN,MANNAN,CETEARYL ALCOHOL,OCTYLDODECYL MYRISTATE,DIMETHICONE,BUTYROSPERMUM PARKII (SHEA BUTTER),POLYSORBATE 60,ULMUS DAVIDIANA ROOT EXTRACT,AMARANTHUS CAUDATUS SEED EXTRACT,ORYZA SATIVA (RICE) EXTRACT,CENTELLA ASIATICA EXTRACT,FICUS CARICA (FIG) FRUIT EXTRACT,PORTULACA OLERACEA EXTRACT,PUERARIA THUNBERGIANA ROOT EXTRACT,GLYCYRRHIZA GLABRA (LICORICE) ROOT EXTRACT,PAEONIA LACTIFLORA ROOT EXTRACT,CNIDIUM OFFICINALE ROOT EXTRACT,CITRUS UNSHIU PEEL EXTRACT,ORCHID EXTRACT,CAMELLIA SINENSIS LEAF EXTRACT,CAMELLIA JAPONICA LEAF EXTRACT,OPUNTIA COCCINELLIFERA FRUIT EXTRACT,SOLUBLE COLLAGEN,ALOE BARBADENSIS LEAF JUICE,HYDROGENATED LECITHIN,SODIUM HYALURONATE,1,2-HEXANEDIOL,SORBITAN STEARATE,STEARIC ACID,GLYCERYL STEARATE,PEG-100 STEARATE,XANTHAN GUM,TOCOPHERYL ACETATE,CARBOMER,TRIETHANOLAMINE,ETHYLHEXYLGLYCERIN,DISODIUM EDTA,CERAMIDE 3,FRAGRANCE,PHENOXYETHANOL

The order I follow: (For night time regimen)

  1. Oil cleanser
  2. Foaming Cleanser
  3. Exfoliator (twice a week)
  4. Wash off mask (twice a week)
  5. Toner
  6. Serum
  7. Sheet Mask (twice or more a week)
  8. Sleep Pack (Twice a week, and a night cream the rest of the week)
  9. Eye cream

Pretty intense, huh? However I don’t really follow all the steps every day and there are days I follow only 4-5 steps. Surprisingly, the longer my regimen is, the more I enjoy my routine.

My experience with the Rice Sleeping Pack:

As I told you, it was my first sleeping pack and I did not know what to expect. The product looks like a yummy rice pudding, white sticky and smelled sweet. Luckily, it does not feel sticky on the face. Even if it does, the feeling will go away within minutes. It gets absorbed in my skin with light massaging without leaving any oily residue. The following morning I wake up to a nice plumped up and brightened skin. I’ve been using it twice a week and my skin has been looking noticeably radiant and even. No wonder I repurchased it and will be repurchasing again.

As I earlier mentioned that Innisfree has improved the packaging of the capsule recipe packs and they are now way too easy to store. The previous pack lasted me for like 5-6 usages.

Will I recommend it?

Yes. It comes in a tiny tub for just 150 bucks, so you can try it once for yourself without digging a hole in your pocket.

Cons:

  • Does what it claims
  • Nice fragrance
  • Pocket Friendly
  • Softens and plumps
  • Travel friendly
  • Can even up skin tone and reduce redness

Cons:

Nothing

Oshea Herbals Neempure Anti Acne And Pimple Face Wash Review

You know one of those times when a brand sends you some press samples and you fall in love with them so bad that you end up ordering more products from them? So a similar scene happened down here after I was sent some stuffs from Oshea Herbals. One of the products I purchased from them happens to be Oshea Neempure Anti-Acne And Pimple Face Wash.

I’ve earlier mentioned that I thankfully don’t breakout much except for those hormonal days. I’ve been getting 1 cystic acne every month over the last 1 and half years and the terrible spot they are leaving are bothering me too much. I cannot use spot treatments because my skin reacts terribly when I use Retinol. In fact retinol is the reason I started breaking out in the first place but that’s another story.  Let’s get down to the Neempure Face Wash Review.

Now the mentioned face wash doesn’t necessarily claim anything besides battling acne and pimple, so it didn’t have much work on my skin except for just those days. I’ve never used any acne products in the past because I do not get them very frequently, thus I was sceptical if it will be able to battle something that’s a complete internal issue. The reason why we breakout during those days is because of the excessive oil production which results in pore clogging thus acne. The best I could have done was to exfoliate my face to unclog the pores, use a detox mask and switch to anti-acne products which is supposed to battle acne, maybe by removing the excess oil from my face? And I am very disappointed to say that this face wash has failed to battle the only acne I get each month. I used this over 2 months, while my other techniques seemed to work a little better, this one did not. It did however successfully remove the excess oil from my face, and my skin was behaving a little better than the other months during those days but the acne did peep. I guess it might work better on beauties who suffer from pimples throughout, especially because of oily skin. But it certainly does not battle hormonal acnes.

Price: 160 Rs for 120 gm

Where to buy:

Official Site , Snapdeal, Ebay, Amazon

Pros:

  • Did control the oil break out
  • Pocket Friendly

Cons:

  • Did not stop the one acne I get each month
  • Contains parabens
  • Contains SLS
  • Dries out skin a little

Will I repurchase it?

My be not. There are too many other Face Wash from their different range to explore.

Will I recommend it?

Oily skin beauties who suffer from acne might give this one a try.

Goodal Phytowash Yerba Mate Bubbling Peeling Review

Hello everybody, today am going to review the Goodal Phytowash Yerba Mate Bubbling Peeling that I have been using over the last 2 years. It’s basically the 3rd Korean Skincare product I have tried. That was months before I started blogging. Had I known back then that I will be reviewing this product someday and will be sticking with the single bottle for the next two years I would not have thrown the carton away. I technically didn’t throw it away; I just didn’t carry it with me when I moved.

The fact that I have been loyal to this product for so long has already given the spoiler alert that I really like it. Yes 2 years is a long time for a bottle to last, but considering the fact that it’s an exfoliator and I use it only once a week, sometimes testing other exfoliators in between and most importantly just a tiny amount is enough to exfoliate the whole face and neck, it sounds pretty logical that I haven’t ran out of the bottle yet.

Back when I was obsessing over getting my hands on K-beauty products, I remember my then colleagues warning me that maybe it’s not for Indian skin and weather. K-beauty wasn’t even a thing in our country back then. But I went ahead anyway and took the risk of trying 3 Korean products at one go. Charlotte Cho from Sokoglam had generously sent me a package of Tonymoly Brightening Cleansing Oil, Skinfood Tea Tree Bubble Cleansing Foam and lastly Goodal Phytowash along with a Missha Essence Sample that I immediately fell in love with. My brain screamed at me to try 1 product each day since I was trying K-beauty for the first time but my heart (and my skin) just couldn’t resist. I applied the 4 products one by one, and out of all the 4 products the Phytowash was the only product I was a little sceptical about and once you look at the ingredient list you’ll understand why.

Ingredients: Water, Lauryl Glucoside, Glycerin, Yerba Mate (Ilex Paraguariensis) Leaf Extract, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Polyethylene, Ethyl Perfluoroisobutyl Ether, Ethyl Perfluorobutyl Ether, Acrylates Copolymer, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Cocamide DEA, Polyacrylamide, Triethanolamine, Betaine, C13-14 Isoparaffin, Phenoxyethanol, PVP, Salicylic Acid, Laureth-7, Olive (Olea Europaea) Fruit Oil, Allantoin, Grapefruit (Citrus Grandis) Peel Oil, Lavendin (Lavandula Hybrida) Oil, Lime (Citrus Aurantifolia) Oil, Cocoa (Theobroma Cacao) Extract, Disodium EDTA, Butylene Glycol, Black Currant (Ribes Nigrum) Seed Oil, Bergamot (Citrus Aurantium Bergamia) Fruit Oil, Cedrus Atlantica Bark Oil, Orange (Citrus Aurantium Dulcis) Fruit Extract, Grapefruit (Citrus Grandis) Fruit Extract, Rose (Rosa Damascena) Flower Oil, Lavender (Lavandula Angustifolia) Flower/Leaf/Stem Extract, Anise (Illicium Verum) Fruit/Seed Oil, Coriander (Coriandrum Sativum) Fruit Oil, Sage (Salvia Officinalis) Oil, Artemisia Absinthium Extract, Matricaria (Chamomilla Recutita) Flower Extract, Camu Camu (Myrciaria Dubia) Fruit Extract, Vanilla (Vanilla Planifolia) Fruit Extract, Sandalwood (Santalum Album) Oil, Brazil Nut (Bertholletia Excelsa) Seed Oil, Plukenetia Volubilis Seed Oil, Murumuru (Astrocaryum Murumuru) Seed Butter, Cupuacu (Theobroma Grandiflorum) Seed Butter

I mean that’s a scary long list, and according to my CosDNA analysis, there’s some irritants sitting comfortably in the list. Cocamide DEA and Salicylic Acid shows ref flag. If that wasn’t enough, here’s a list of acne irritants –

Sodium Laureth Sulfate 3/5 Acne

Triethanol amine 2/5 Ance

Olive Fruit Oil 2/5 Acne

Butylene Glycol 1/5 Acne

Now let’s come to the sensitive skin part- SLS 2/ irritant.

Coming to the impressive ingredients found in the list…

Yerba Mate: Known as God’s drink, contains 50 types of minerals and vitamins. Some of its known benefits are: anti-aging, anti-oxidant, anti-inflammatory, brightens complexion, lightens scar, improve skin texture and retains moisture.

Glycerine: We know the benefits right? They are super moisturizing and protects the skin against irritation.

Salicylic acid: The chemical exfoliator. They remove dead skin, increases cell turnover, reduces inflammation, opens up pore, breaks down sebum in pore and increases collagen production.

Product Description: An exfoliator with an exciting twist, it bubbles! This nutritious exfoliator is made into a creamy serum that transforms into a foaming peel. It contains hypoallergenic grains that can remove dead skin cells. It can cleanse and detoxify the pores without stripping the skin of its essential moisture. The exfoliator promotes healthy skin and vitality while hydrating it. It can protect the skin from environmental stress that can cause premature aging. The exfoliator is formulated with Yerba Mate, which is known as ‘God’s Drink’. It is a tea that contains polyphenol, saponin, and vitamins that can help to recharge tired and fatigued skin.

To Use: Use 1 to 2 times a week. Use the exfoliator as the last step of your evening cleansing routine. Dispense 1 to 2 pumps of the product and spread it over a dry or slightly moistened face. Wait 1 to 2 minutes until the product transforms into a light layer of foam. Gently massage the foam with fingertips for 15 to 20 seconds. Rinse off with warm water and pat dry. For optimal results, use a sheet mask after the exfoliator.

My experience:

Applying this exfoliator is a delight in itself, not to mention effortless as well. You apply a thin layer of the gel exfoliator on wet skin and it bubbles up all over your face (how I wish I had a hand model for the demo pics). Since the exfoliator contains both Salicylic acid and micro beads, it works both as a chemical exfoliator and a physical exfoliator. It also doesn’t require exfoliating too much. After the gel transfers into a thick layer of bubble you just need to massage your face for 30 seconds and rinse.

As I said that I’ve been using this exfoliator for around 2 years now and thankfully the culprit ingredients did my skin no harm. My skin looks visibly smooth and clean after each time I use it. Like I repeatedly say, I sheetmask post exfoliating, and this is the usual exfoliator I use and the duo works amazing on my skin.

Will I repurchase it?

Absolutely! It’s the best exfoliater I’ve used so far. May be I won’t repurchase right after finishing this one, because as you guys know I like experimenting and I might want to try out a new one, but I will surely get it back in my stash in near future.

Will I suggest it?

May be it’s not a best idea for the sensitive skin beauties. I am cursed with a hyper-sensitive skin myself and luckily it didn’t react badly on my skin, doesn’t mean it won’t on you. I’ve explained the goods and the bads and if you think that none of the above mentioned ingredients reacts badly on your skin, or if you are not cursed with a sensitive skin at all, then there’s a high chance you are going to find your Holy Grail exfoliator when you try this one.

Pros:

  • Does everything it claims
  • Attractive packaging
  • The pump dispenses the right amount
  • Hygienic

Cons:

  • Availability
  • The long list of ingredients contains some irritants

It’s Real Squeeze Mask-Strawberry Review

My reviews of Innisfree It’s Real Squeeze Mask range has almost come to an end. After reviewing a lot of my amazing finds from the range I will share a disappointment today- Innisfree It’s Real Squeeze Mask Strawberry. I have reviewed almost every mask from the range (except for the bija) and I guess you guys are quite familiar with the range, so this one is going to be real quick.

What it is

Get supple and translucent skin with the strawberry It’s real squeeze mask!

1. It’s real squeeze mask – strawberry
Strawberry helps make your skin bright and supple.

2. Jeju green complex
The Jeju green complex consists of green tea, tangerine, cactus, camellia leaves, and orchids to keep your skin healthy.

3. Triple-layered sheet
This triple-layer sheet has a long-lasting moisturizing effect so that the essence can gradually be absorbed into the skin.

How to use

  1. After washing your face, gently apply toner on your face to even out your skin texture.
    2. Then, apply the mask over your entire face, avoiding your eye and lip areas.
    3. Remove the mask after 10-20 minutes and gently pat your face to allow the remaining formula to absorb into your skin.

Price:  100Rs

Where to buy?

Nykaa

My Experience:

As usual I used the sheet mask post exfoliating and kept it on for about 30 minutes. The sheet was soaked in a LOT of essence and the fitting was just like any other mask from the range-almost perfect. Upon removing the mask my skin was excessively moisturized. The essence on my face took a lot of time to absorb unlike any other sheet mask. My skin was immensely hydrated and moisturized throughout the following days. It has to be the best moisturizing mask from the range. However, having a combination skin, moisturization is not one of my concerns and I was a bit disappointed as it did not do anything besides moisturizing. It claims brightening but I did not notice any. So overall, it can be an amazing mask for dry skin beauties but for combination and oily skin beauties might not be as impressed.

Pros:

  • Moisturizes
  • Pocket Friendly

Cons:

  • Does not brighten.

Innisfree It’s Real Squeeze Mask – Pomegranate Review

Hey guys, I haven’t reviewed any K-beauty products for a while and I’m here to compensate for that. Today I’ll be reviewing the Innisfree It’s Real Squeeze Mask Pomegranate. Now even though my first concern while sheet masking is brightness, I am well aware that it’s about time I start using anti-aging products as well. To be very honest, I haven’t incorporated any anti-aging products in my regimen permanently but from time to time I indulge in firming treatments- like sheet masks and facials and stuff. Pomegranate is known for its skin firming benefits and thus it had its due share in my regimen.

Price:

MRP 100rs

Where to buy:

Nykaa

My Experience:

Just like any other sheet mask, I used it after exfoliating my skin and kept it on for about 30 minutes. The fitting was a little terrible than the other sheet masks from the same range which is weird. The mask was still wet while I took it off and my face was immensely hydrated and supple. There was no brightening effect and the product did not claim any. The following morning my skin was firm and nourished and behaved well for the following days.

Will I purchase it again?

Given to the fact that I haven’t started any thorough anti-aging regimen yet, I might as well take help from this mask from time to time.

Will I recommend it?

To anyone who is 25+

Pros:

  • Does what it claims
  • Travel friendly
  • Pocket Friendly

Cons:

  • No brightening effect

4.7/5
