Sulwhasoo Gentle Cleansing Foam Review

I’ve been in love with Hanbang products ever since I fell in love with K-Beauty 4 years ago. And my mission to find low pH K-Beauty Cleansers started exactly around that time. Unfortunately, there are very few options for Low pH Cleansers when it comes to Korean Skincare. And one of those options is the highly raved Sulwhasoo Gentle Foaming Cleansing Foam.

Thanks to Skinnmore.com I got to purchase a few deluxe size Sulwashoo products that I carry while traveling. And today I’ll be reviewing the Sulwashoo Gentle Cleansing Foam.

Claims:

This cleansing foam gently removes dead skin cells without overstimulating the skin, leaving behind a layer of moisture for a clean and smooth base. Made with botanical ingredients including duckweed and extracts harvested from the delicate inner shells of chestnuts, this foam cleanses the skin while leaving a deep moisture layer and a relaxed and smooth feeling that lasts long after cleansing.

How to Use Sulwhasoo Gentle Cleansing Foam:

Gently massage a small amount of this gel cleanser on wet skin and work into a lather. Rinse with lukewarm water. Pat your face dry, and continue with your next skin care steps.

Ingredients:

Water, Potassium Cocoyl Glycinate, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Peg-200 Hydrogenated Glyceryl Palmate, Acrylates/Beheneth-25 Methacrylate Copolymer, Disodium Cocoamphodiacetate, Spirodela Polyrrhiza Extract, Citrus Unshiu Peel Extract, Castanea Crenata (Chestnut) Shell Extract, Theobroma Cacao (Cocoa) Extract, Coix Lacryma-Jobi Ma-Yuen Seed Extract, Caprylyl/Capryl Glucoside, Dextrin, Disodium Edta, Butylene Glycol, Sodium Methyl Cocoyl Taurate, Sodium Chloride, Citric Acid, Isostearic Acid, Potassium Hydroxide, Peg-60 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Peg-7 Glyceryl Cocoate, Ethylhexylglycerin, Sodium Benzoate, Phenoxyethanol, Fragrance

My Experience with Sulwhasoo Gentle Cleansing Foam:

When you are using a cleanser that has a pH level of 5, you don’t always expect it to lather up very well. But the Sulwashoo Gentle Cleansing Gel did, even if not much. And I ended up pumping more product than needed. Which isn’t very cost-effective given to the price of the product. The cleanser as the name suggests is really gentle and like any other low pH cleanser (except for the Cosrx Good Morning Low pH Cleanser) you won’t really get a major satisfaction while cleansing. I mean to say, it’s too gentle! As Snowwhite And The Asian Pear rightfully compares Low PH cleansers with unseasoned tofus. You won’t actually like using them but they good for the health of your skin.

So far I really like the Sulwashoo Gentle Cleansing Foam, especially since my skin gets exposed to different climates while traveling. And the cleansing foam handles that change of climate like a pro. Usually when I travel I don’t expect perfect skin but that has changed ever since I included it in my travel kit. It doesn’t brighten the skin or anything, just gently cleanses the skin while soothing it if any irritation occurs.

Final Verdict:

I really like the Sulwhasoo Gentle Cleansing Foam. And even though I won’t use it on a regular basis, I will keep using it while travelling as my skin can use some extra gentle care while on trips. I will recommend it to anyone who wants to try their hands on Korean Luxury beauty. It might be a bit pricey, but it’s just so worth it. And since it also comes in a deluxe size, you can keep one in your travel kit.

Pros:

  • Low pH
  • Gently cleanses the skin
  • Soothes the skin

Cons:

  • Expensive

Price:

Rs.1050 for 50ml

  1. I don’t understand; your picture and the first portion of your review reference the Gentle Cleansing Foam, but then later in your experience you repeatedly say Gentle Cleansing Gel … aren’t those different products? Can you clarify?

  2. Packaging badhiya hai, colour bhi accha dikh raha hai 👍👍
Agar effective hai to itna kharch kar saktey hain )
